Chapter 31

Khalid wanted to talk to his sons but his mate stopped him. They were grown men, and if they want to ht each other senseless, he should let them. He sighed, Rooka and Wayne might not be blood brothers, but the love between them was strong.

“My love,” Seraphina said, “Rooka was not expecting Serena to be alive. The bond snapped, and we cannot blame him for the anger he had shown. If you were in his shoes what would you feel?”

Khalid was silent, the thought of losing his mate drove him crazy, he took a deep breath and said, “I would have done the same thing.”

“You should then understand what he went through,” Seraphina looked at the two women on the sofa. One was sporting a dark bruise on her neck, while the other one looked like she wanted to kill someone. “Serena, child, there is something I would like you to have.” She pulled a letter from her mate’s desk and gave it to her.
