Serena's heart was beating too fast, and Rooka knew without a doubt knew that he was the cause. She expected smugness, and arrogance when she opened her eyes. But there was none.
Tenderness.
Desire.
Love.
She wanted to pull back, to forget all the emotions she saw, but he was not letting her.
"Don't," he whispered. "Don't hide, Serena. You don't have to be afraid of this. Of us."
"I know, Rooka," she opened her eyes and looked at him.
Tears were starting to gather at the corner of her eyes, so he kissed them. Lingering a bit to let her feel his affection. Once he was satisfied, he kissed the tip of her nose, her forehead, and the top of her head. He then drew Serena into his embrace. Her arms went around his waist, while she rubbed her nose against the few chest hair he had in his body.
"Want me to dress?" He asked.
