{82} "A Fool's Trap." (Pt.1)

I exhaled. "How—"

"I know you like the back of my hand, red." He turned his head just so he could send me a flirtatious wink.

'Red?' There was that strange nickname choice again.

"Namjun has always been like an older brother to me, protecting me, giving me advice if I needed it and just being ya'know, we hung out with each other. And when mom died we drifted apart but that was my fault I didn't take her death well, back then I acted like a fool and a jerk..." It never ceased to perplex me how many things were different here and yet how some things didn't change, like for example, how Kazuchika lost his mother, although the way that he had might be different, he still lost her. This was the first time I heard him talk about her since I arrived. "I should've understood him..." he mumbled under his breath.

I wanted him to elaborate but clearly that last part wasn't meant for me to hear, so I let it go.
