Lucifer

Slowly Odette began to open her eyes. The first thing she saw was a silhouette of a person's shadow until a few seconds later, it became clear.

"Huh?" Odette was surprised to find the face of a purple-eyed girl so close to hers.

"You finally woke up," said Anwen with a sweet smile.

"Wh-who are you?" Odette immediately got up. The hunching Anwen looked at the face of Odette, who looked like she was about to wake up. She thus stood up straight.

Odette's eyes wandered, and she found herself in a very strange place again. She was in a golden room. On the walls, there were decorative paintings, that if one looked closely, they all looked like… roses?

Odette's blue eyes shifted to the grey-haired girl standing next to her, then to the two women standing behind the girl. The clothes worn by the two women reminded Odette of the maid outfits she had seen in the colossal dramas her mother always watched.

Where was she now? And who were these people?

Those were the two big questions running through Odette's head right now.

While Odette was thinking about where she was now, Anwen seemed to be staring at Odette without blinking. It was as if she got lost in her own thoughts. And that was the truth. She was contemplating on how to find out whether this brunette in front of her had done 'the deed' with her brother or not.

Anwen had to immediately report the completion of the mission to her grandmother. Anwen was sure that by now her grandmother must have sent the twin knights Erika and Erina to look for her here, and when the two Knights came, Anwen had to have an answer, and the answer had to be 'yes'. Otherwise, Anwen would be dragged back to the palace and forced to marry the son of Duke Carolus.

She also didn't dare lie by making up a 'yes' answer because her grandmother was too terrifying.

Oh, what to do?

Anwen felt very uneasy. Did she really have to ask a direct question like… 'Sorry, I was wondering if you and my brother had done that in the woods?'

Not! That was a bad idea.

"How can I know that she and brother have done that. Oh, God. Save me from this disaster," Anwen thought. She felt her life was on the line, but she didn't want to give up. She still had time to find out before her grandmother's messenger came.

She slowly exhaled and tried to calm down. After that, she smiled while extending her right hand in front of Odette.

"My name is Anwen, what is your name?" she asked with a sweet smile.

Odette, who was still struggling with various questions in her head, was surprised when the purple-eyed girl standing beside her reached out for a handshake.

Even though she seemed hesitant, Odette shook Anwen's hand.

"O-Odette," she said, smiling back at Anwen awkwardly.

"Okay, then from now on, I will call you, Miss Ody, how about it?"

Odette just nodded and still smiled awkwardly.

According to Odette, Anwen was a girl with a pleasant personality, but the surroundings and the atmosphere were so foreign that Odette couldn't immediately get along with the girl. Though usually, she was very easy to get along with new people, of course, because it was one of the demands of her job.

Anwen sat next to Odette. Apart from that, because Anwen wanted to be closer to Odette, Anwen also wanted to immediately find out about 'that' from Odette. Right now, Anwen didn't have much time. She could only find out from Odette because she didn't dare to try and ask out Rion.

But where should Anwen start?

"Anwen, where is this?" asked Odette, which distracted Anwen's focus.

"Ah, you mean this place? We are now in Green Castle. Yesterday you fainted, and my brother brought you here with us," explained Anwen, which instantly made Odette's mind wander backwards.

Suddenly she thought of the figure of a jerk she met in the forest.

'If you need money, come with me to Green Castle.' Even now, fragments of the man's words rang clearly in her ears.

Her heart started beating fast, and her hands started to get cold as she recalled what that man had almost done to her. And now she was in a place called Green Castle.

Odette got goosebumps thinking about this. Was the man a pimp? And the purple-eyed girl beside her now was that guy's accomplice?

Odette was in grave danger!

She had to get out of that place, but she couldn't be careless. Ah, she had to come up with a plan.

"I-I'm going to the bathroom," she smiled, trying to hide her fear.

"Ah, the bathroom is over there." Anwen pointed to the door in the back corner of the room. "Come on, I'll take you there."

"N-no need."

"Are you sure?" Anwen looked at Odette and blinked.

Odette nodded, then pulled the blanket over her. She got off the bed and walked towards the door in the corner.

Whoaaa…

Without realizing it, Odette opened her mouth when she saw the large bathroom. The bathroom area was almost the same as the area of the house.

For a moment, she forgot that her purpose in going to the bathroom was to find a way to escape.

She closed the door and approached a large tub that was inside and admired the splendour of the bathroom. But she was surprised because everything there looked very ancient.

It looked like it was deliberately designed that way.

Now she was standing in front of a large mirror and a little surprised to see herself wearing a simple but beautiful, faded yellow dress. Somehow she felt beautiful seeing herself wearing a dress like that.

But then she soon realized. Of course, the man would provide good clothes so that the 'customers' who came could be interested.

Odette looked around again and fixed her focus on a window not far from her.

She walked briskly to the window and was pleased that it was locked from the inside. She looked again and it seemed safe outside.

Meanwhile, in the room, Anwen seemed to be paying close attention to the picture of the don*ld duck's head that was on Odette's underwear. "Hmmm, duck head? I didn't know there was a family crest like this," she muttered.

"What about you guys? Have you ever seen a family crest like this?" Now Anwen asked her two maids, but both of her servants shook their heads in wonder.

***

Whoops!

Odette just landed well. Luckily she was on the ground floor, not on the second or third floor. If she was on the second or third floor, then she was sure that she would… cry!

After landing, she immediately ran. But unfortunately, she stepped on the edge of her dress until she fell down.

"Ow, it hurts." She got up, grimacing because she felt sore. Some of the skin on her elbows and face got peeled a bit but she couldn't waste time lamenting it all.

"Who are you?" A man's voice from behind startled her. And when Odette turned her head, she was wide-eyed to find the tip of the sword that seemed to sparkle pointing right in front of her nose.

Odette's eyes scrutinized the figure of the sword holder from bottom to top, and she found a familiar yet unfamiliar face.

The man with grey hair and hazel eyes! He's the bastard who almost ruined Odette's life, but somehow he was so different. His face and eyes looked very cold.

"Stay away from her, Lucifer!"

Odette's attention was drawn to the brown-haired man who had just arrived and was standing two meters behind the jerk he called Lucifer.
