The Training

Odette followed Rion, Trish, and Roul to a place they called the training room. She felt a little less important being there, and she was getting a little bored listening to the men’s chatter.

The double doors opened and her eyes opened wider, seeing a stretch of dry land with towering rock cliffs on various sides. When the door opened earlier, she could immediately feel the hot air touch her face.

“This is…”

She stepped to the edge as the three men walked forward and entered the area. Then, Odette stopped when they arrived at the bottom of a cliff.

“We can start now, Your Majesty,” Roul said, and Rion gave one slow nod.

“Wait, don’t we want to go to the training room?” Odette asked.

“We’ve arrived,” Rion replied, leaving Odette in confusion. She glanced at the place. There was only a stretch of soil, rocks, and trees that had no leaves. "This is the place."

“This is an open area, not a room,” she said, correcting Rion’s answer.
