Act 25. Ramona and Demona, Part VI

After hearing Ramona's call, one of the old wizards suddenly shouted, "Then why don't you marry a wizard instead, so that Demona doesn't misunderstand again, maybe she will rethink about all of this after she sees you married to a wizard, just so the misunderstanding goes away, doesn't it?"

The other wizards nodded immediately, some even exclaimed, "Why don't you just give it a try, Ramona? Maybe Demona will turn into the way she used to be. After all, as you said, this all happened to you because of a misunderstanding, didn't it?"

Ramona was silent for a moment. She could not really respond to the senior wizards' words at all.

After a while, Ramona finally could not help but take a deep breath, then said, "I'm sorry, I'll think about this later, while that's all I can say. I'll think about and consider your suggestions, thank you."

The wizards who had gathered inside the Axell Building, finally chose to disperse, and walked out of Axell Building. However, some of them seemed to be shaking their heads, some were scratching their heads, and some were even sneering at Ramona.

After all the senior wizards left the Axell Building, now only Ramona was left, and a young male wizard who had asked Ramona at the beginning of the meeting.

Ramona then looked at the young male wizard with a sad expression on his face, then asked, "Why don't you go home first, Gerlin?"

The young male wizard turned out to be Gerlin. He was a male wizard, but since his childhood, he had been betrothed to Ramona by their parents.

He just smiled after hearing Ramona's question just now, then he approached Ramona, and stood in front of her, then said quietly, "Marry me, Ramona."

This time Ramona looked surprised at Gerlin's saying. She even looked at Gerlin with her eyes wide open, as if she could not believe what she had just heard.

"You're joking, Gerlin? Grandpa did set us up, but that doesn't mean I want to marry you," said Ramona, and now her face was sad again.

Gerlin then smiled, and said again, "Let's give it a try, maybe Demona will change her mind after seeing you marry me? I'm also not a new person in your life, am I? We used to meet a lot when we were little, but it seems like you were avoiding me very deliberately. Don't worry, Ramona. I like you, although maybe you don't like me yet, I can wait."

Ramona could not help but smile slightly at Gerlin's words. Meanwhile, in a building that was located at the very edge of the wizard world, Demona was gathering all the wizards who were former followers of her grandfather, Raven.

Demona too, ordered her followers to bring her sacrifices, so she could absorb the energy of her victim's, making her dark magic more powerful. One by one, the wizards who are in the wizard world were afraid to leave their own house, because Demona could anytime, anywhere, to kidnap them, then she would kill them for their energy.

Demona was increasing the power of her dark magic, her goal this time was to rule over the entire wizard world and the human world. She wanted to be the only person that everyone respected the most.

"Strength. Everyone needs a very strong power to be respected. If you are weak, you will never be respected, everyone will isolate you! Dark magic requires sacrifices to keep getting stronger, and getting stronger!" Demona muttered in her heart.

Her determination was very strong to rule the two worlds, she was also every day, looking for victims who were willing to give up their souls and bodies for her. As time went on, the news said that Demona's dark magic was getting stronger because she had absorbed a lot of energy from humans and wizards.

This news had spread to the edge of the wizard world, even reached Ramona's ears. This time, Ramona began to see the effects of Demona's dark magic which was getting stronger day by day. The wizard world was getting quieter because many wizards were killed for their energy. The sky also never shone again, ever since Demona's dark magic was growing stronger.

Ramona began to run, wandering all the way in the wizard world, and saw many wizards were sad, crying, and mourning the loss of their family members, friends, or relatives who were killed and kidnapped by the black wizards. Black crows also began to appear and flew all over the wizard world.

There was another news, that Demona asked her followers to seduce humans, so they would come to the wizard world, but instead, they would be a sacrifice for Demona. Many wizards in the wizard world slowly, one by one, had started to become members of the white wizards.

Both white wizards or neutral wizards would go to the Axell Building, and white wizards made a protective fortress for Axell Building, to protect them from dark magic and Demona's follower, the black wizards. Magical protective fortress, they called it.

Every day, the white wizards would always add magic spells little by little, so that the strength of the magical protective fortress surrounding the Axell Building would not be easily damaged by dark magic.

Since the power of white wizards were weaker than black wizards, they could only rely on the magical protective fortress.

When the senior white wizards began to urge Ramona to act because Ramona was the only direct descendant of Reivan, the former leader of white wizards who was her grandfather. She finally decided to stay inside the Axell Building to think of a way to fight Demona, but she did not want to kill her comrades because of her feelings for Demona.

Since the senior white wizards thought Ramona and Demona's misunderstanding problems would end if Ramona got married, they kept urging Ramona to marry, even though Gerlin did not really mind whether Ramona wanted to get married or not.

In the end, Ramona gave up, because she also started to think, perhaps Demona would stop to kill everybody if she got married, and the misunderstanding between the two of them would stop.

Eventually, Ramona and Gerlin got married, however, Ramona wanted them to be married at her house, not in the Axell Building. She also invited Demona, however, she did not know whether Demona would come or not.

The stressful days have finally arrived. Wizards started to arrive at Ramona's house, to be the witnesses of Ramona and Gerlin's wedding. Even black crows could be seen flying above Ramona's house even though it seemed Demona did not come at all.

Ramona, although at first, she was a little hesitant to get married, finally she officially married Gerlin, and the wedding party was held very lively, just to attract Demona's attention.

Demona already knew that Ramona had married Gerlin. She even gave a large black bouquet of flowers that a black crow sent to Ramona the day after her wedding.

However, even though Ramona had already married, it turned out, in the following days, Demona was still looking for victims to strengthen her dark magic.

This time, Ramona and Gerlin were already living inside the Axell Building, along with the other wizards who had sought refuge in the building. Some of them who lived in the Axell Building were not wizards belonging to the group of white wizards or black wizards.

They were just lower-class wizards who just wanted to survive, they were also called the neutral wizards.
