The real predator

It was too late to do so. Turning back directly leads me to the men, who're now smirking as they come toward me.

Their eyes glowed with mirth.

"Well well well, what do we have here?" One asked the other.

"A good-looking female." One answered, and that caused the others to laugh with him.

"Am no female!" I take a step back as I thought about the right plan of action.

Presently, I can't run through them, and there happened to be a wall behind me.

There's no visible way of escape from what I can see now.

"You're no female? But you look like one."

As one, they all advanced toward me.

With morning fast approaching, I was able to make out their features.

The males in front of me looked like ones chewed by life and forsaken by fate.

Their clothing seemed like something that has being on their body for too long, it now seems like part of them.

Should they be thrown into a sea with shark in it, the poor animal will probably reject them based on the odour that's emanating from their bodies?

This far from them, I can perceive the pungent odour from them.

I won't doubt them should they say they haven't had a birth for thirteen complete moon cycles.

There's absolutely nothing to doubt about.

Their eyes look like something sunk in the sea. The hollow of their eyes seems to be bigger and brighter than their real eyes.

Taking a step back as they advanced toward me, I made sure I kept a notable distance between us.

"You know, it's been long since we've seen a female as neat and beautiful as you are." They gave me lewd looks.

"I think the cause of that is because you stink!"

Their mouth smells as if something died in there, and they forgot to remove them.

"Are you saying we stink?" The one that seems to be the leader of the dirty men hangs advances closer. "Don't worry, we'll make you stink like we are. When we're through with you, you won't be able to tell the difference between us." He threatened.

Taking more steps towards me as I take more back, he smirked like a predator who'd finally gotten prey.

I watched him as he advanced, closer, and closer until…

Taking a defensive pose, I kick the unsuspecting male. Undercutting, him, I knead him at the side.

He fell to the side, struggling to rise, he gave you at the third try.

"How dare you!" The others rush towards me as one

Their intent is clear on how hardened their eyes look.

Just from Their looks alone, you can tell how pissed they are.

" Come on." I gesture to them. It's time to show them who the real predator is in this context.

The Devil might have defeated me without breaking a sweat, but that doesn't mean I can't be able to defend myself.

I need to show them I'm much more capable of taking care of myself.

The first male approached. Kicking him on the stomach, I twirl in the air. Circling a bit, I kick one on his head and kneaded the other on the side.

Knocking into one, I slapped the other. With one final kick, I had the males on the floor gasping for breath.

"Should you want to bully someone, look for your size, or someone you can defeat," I smirk at the males as I took threatening steps toward them.

Their eyes widened at my action.

" This is a reversal of power, I guess." I smirk brightly," a few minutes ago you all were the predators, but the power has changed now, hasn't it?" I kick the one closer to me.

The male groaned in pain. Turning so he has his face to the Earth, he tried to lessen the pain.

" I'll be on my merry way." Smiling at the males, I continue with my walk. This time, taking a route that won't lead me to the same place I met the males.

There's no telling if there are others there currently waiting for me.

Constantly looking back to make sure there's no one following me, I continue with my journey.

The sun is already up, but I am yet to see anyone.

It's as if all of them have gone on some sort of vacation.

Looking at the poor buildings, I tried to think about how possible it is the authority of these villagers hasn't done anything to help their villagers?

Aside from the houses at the entrance of the city, there are no other houses that look worthy of being lived in, but people are living in these houses.

People who're unfortunate to be born without a silver spoon.

A whooshing sound caused me to stop dead in my tracks. Looking around, I tried to locate the source of the sound, but I found it now.

Deciding it was probably the morning wind, I continued with my journey, only to be stopped by a hand on my shoulder.

Out of reflex, I attempted to kick the person behind me, but the person was fast enough.

Dodging my kick, he had me pinned to the wall before I noticed what was happening.

"What…" I swallow deeply when my eyes met that of a furious Devil.

"Are you insane!" He gave me a look that looks both scorching and freezing.

"Why? You're afraid your husband might be mentally ill?" I taunt him to cover up my fears.

" Shut up! You, too, damn well know what I am talking about, human. Why did you escape from our room?"

" Our room?" I scoffed at that, "it's not our room, and it can never be our room. Don't forget, I didn't willingly get married to you, I was forced. "

" And you think that makes any difference?" He lowly growled.

This time, I couldn't stop myself from shivering some more at the sensation of his breath on me.
