Guilt tripping, to have my way

The demon shrugged. However, he still has his entire focus on the dagger.

With the way, he was looking at it, you would have thought the dagger did something to him.

"He didn't die. He vanished."

"And now, he's a god?" I should have known it will be like this.

This was how my people came up with a legend of a dead man. They made it sound as if the man were a superhero who graced the earth with his presence.

And right now, we are stuck with serving a god who doesn't answer your prayer despite the times you prayed to him. He's just as deaf as he has always been, for centuries now, there is no difference in the way he acts when he was still alive.

"No, we only have one Lord, and that's Lord Kelin."

"I see. So, who was the demon? Someone who materialized from thin air, and managed to subdue the devil?"

I love these kinds of stories. They are the best when you know the one who's telling the tales.
