Bad influence

"That's not fair, you should have offered to carry me!"

"Fair?" I suddenly turned to face her, "do you know what's not fair? You forced me to leave the garden where I was enjoying its serenity all to complain all day about something you can treat?" I narrow my eyes at her, "if you don't know what to do, then, I better go home. I can't constantly hear you complaining all the time. I'm not your husband, if you want to complain all you want, you can go to your husband."

It gets on my nerves that I try to help this woman out with her request, but all she knows how you do is to nag until my ears bleed.

"My husband?" She frowned at me, "why won't I complain to you? You are the soon-to-be crowned queen. In some ways, you are like my hus—"

"No. I'm not. If you don't have anything better to say, you can look for something productive to do. I'm not your husband, and will never be."

I hastened my steps towards the sea.
