What?!

"Miss Mona!" Mr Ken ran to her only to stop right in front of the massive gate to her house. What a rich spoilt girl. She wasn't actually spoilt but too bad with words maybe she was that way to just him because she doesn't speak the way she does with him with her crazy ungrateful friend.

She turned around to face him and turned around again to push the door open, when she did, he followed her, it was time to be used by his student.

She greeted the drivers having dinner before they leave for their homes. That part of her surprised him but he kept his stern look on gear.

She took him to the wooden door after climbing the tiled stairs, Mona opened the door, he followed in to see the blinding lights of the bulbs all around. Her parents were rich enough to waste this much electricity. He viewed the chandeliers above and jerked out of his thoughts when she screamed. "Mummy, Daddy! I'm home"

Mr Ken smiled secretly, she sounded like a two-year-old child.

As if Mona knew that dinner would have been served, she took her teacher to the dining room to meet her parents eating. "Mona!" Her mother spoke first, and Mona went forward to kiss her mother and then, her daddy sitting on the end edge of the long table.

"You are late," her mummy uttered when she strode away from then to sit on any vacant chair.

"I. . .Yes!" She went to where Mr Ken was standing and brought him closer to her parents. "This is Mr Ken, he lives in the streets and he's my new mathematics teacher. I actually went on a date with. . ."

"Him!" Her parents chorused. With that, she felt disappointed that there can never be a chance for her and her prince charming to be together. Her parents will never accept him, besides he wasn't as rich. He belonged to the lower class.

"No mummy, you and daddy are always jumping to conclusions. There's. . ." Her mother cut her off.

"I'm sorry Mr Ken. . ." Standing up she said. "Please have your seat, don't mind my daughter." She sternly stared at her Mona. Mona lowered her gaze while Mr Ken walked forward to sit.

Mrs Sanchez was a chubby woman but not that fat, she was dressed fancily while her daddy sitting had his head shaved and was bald, they both were getting old as their children were also growing. Mona was the only one in their care and because she was the only child they had with them, they spoiled her and were half happy that she was still in high school because once she gets to university, they'd be alone but that was part of their happiness. Parents' happiness lies in their children's success.

Mona was evidently their daughter, she had her daddy's narrowed nose and her mummy's big eyes, and she had her mummy's plumpy lips and heart shape face. She was tall like her father but was sexy like her mother. They both had braids done on their hair.

"Please feel free our mathematics teacher," her mother sent a warm gesture and Mr Ken answered with a genuine smile. Mona cancelled her reservation on the chair he sat on and went to sit next to her mummy.

"He wasn't the person I went on a date with mummy." She told her mummy secretly.

"Mona Happiness Sanchez, whatever you tell your mummy, you tell me too." When Mr Sanchez felt Kenny's gaze on him. He turned to him and smiled. "We are sorry Mr Ken but Mona is just too childish and isn't showing any progress in growing."

Mona regretted the fact that she invited Mr Ken for dinner, her parents always do this. She wasn't the first. Her siblings had testified to it.

She grimaced her face and began to serve herself to avoid Mr Ken's gaze. "I haven't noticed that, I'm sorry" Kenny uttered.

"Well, if you are close to her you'll notice. So. . ." When Mr Sanchez mentioned so, she pouted at her daddy and opened her mouth to explain that she had an admirer and she refused his feelings for her.

Her Daddy smiled after hearing her explanation. "I'm glad you made a decision for yourself the first time and not say Yes because you feel sorry for him." He spoke.

"I'm glad too." Mona knew she couldn't decide for herself sometimes. She didn't know how to refuse too.

Mr Ken smiled as he was being served by the maid who had been admiring him ever since she sighted him. Like always, he ignored her. Actually, he liked how Mona was truthful and honest with her parents, she barely lied.

"When I was heading back home, I met Mr Ken and decided to let you meet him." She told them. With that their gaze settled on him.

He offered an 'I'm all ears' gaze. His brows were up.

"Please eat, this meal is a special meal from our cook. He created recipes of his own every day so we taste new food every day." After Mrs Sanchez's statement, they began to eat in silence.

Mona began to skim through her phone to see Derick's post that Gina had sent to her, Gina accused her and told her that she proved to her, that she was really dating Derick behind her back. Mona wished she could explain everything to her immediately but she couldn't. She went to the post and saw the caption, it was so touching and the reaction and comments broke her core. What was she going to do?

Her patience expired and she just wanted to stand on her feet and speak to Gina that she had a clean gut, she wasn't dating him behind her back.

"Um, Mr Ken. You know after knowing that you are her new mathematics teacher, I was thinking you could tutor her personally. My daughter is so bad at mathematics." Mrs Sanchez suggested and her husband's gaze buttressed her statement.

Mona was busy with her thoughts that she didn't hear what her parents were discussing with her friend slash mathematics teacher.

"I'm sorry Mrs Sanchez but I don't tutor personally. If you talk to your daughter she'll surely improve in mathematics." He declined. "Talk to her, she wouldn't disappoint you. I can guarantee you that she will."

Mrs Sanchez stared at her daughter to see that worried look. "Are you okay Mona?" Her mother's voice jolted her to the room.

"Mummy." She breathes out. "I'm full I'll go to my room now." She stood up and took her bag with her before departing from them. She didn't give her parents the chance to refuse.

When Mrs Sanchez saw her plate still full, she felt concerned, there was something Mona wasn't telling her. She had also noticed that she hadn't been sleeping well these days. Mona usually sleeps in between her parents though she was an adult she couldn't bear to feel the air touching her back when sleeping so leaning in her mummy's arms and resting her body on her mummy settles her mind. She was scared of the dark and had wild imaginations about supernatural beings after having this wild dream when she was twelve. She had to have a conversation with her daughter.
