Mona pushed back slowly but he held her back firmly. "What a selfish wife," he teased her but she didn't accept it funnily.

"I'm not being selfish Kenny, I won't see you for 12 hours, I... won't touch you or feel you or hear you or..."

"Shh," he placed his finger on her lips.

"Kenny," she whispered looking desperate.

"I won't have to attend work every day," he informed her removing his hand from her lips to frame her face. "I will rush my work so I can vacate early. I won't keep you waiting," he tried to convince her.

Mona stared into his eyes as if searching for something and after a moment of silence she let her shoulders down and pushed herself into his arms. "I'll wait for you," was her utterance. "I can wait," she convinced herself more than him.
