Perhaps trying to find the graveyard in the middle of the night was not the best choice, especially when she was dressed in a hospital gown and was limping with her hair open. Anybody would take her for a ghost roaming around for her next prey.

She was comparing her parents with another set of them. And even though Leah's parents were better, they were better because they had money and resources that her parents did not have. So, comparing them was idiocy.
