A house in Bath - IV

"Lie." Leah called him out as she felt it. "You are the one who has been keeping me away from him, I'm sure he knows that it has to be you out of everyone else. There is no way you have not been keeping an eye on my father and what he is up to. Tell me, what is he doing?"

"And should I also make it easier for you to find him?"

She huffed. "Would it be so bad to find my father?"

It was almost on her face, the disgust she felt when she said father. Calling Remington as her father was an insult to the real man who had been there for her. The man who had worked painlessly day and night to put food on the table and he was often not even there.

"It would be extremely bad. If you're planning on going through everything again, then sure, by all means, find your father, seek him out and get your memory erased again. At this point, one might question if you prefer it." He snapped, making her flinch away from it.
