no peace of mind

"you've been looking at those papers for almost two hours you do know it's not necessary right?" Fei Hong dropped down on the couch next to her friend who had a serious face as she flipped through the pages on her hand.

"It is necessary, I don't want to pick just any company, I want a company where I could work with peace of mind" Yu Xiao yan was having a hard time choosing an entertainment company to join. She had made a list of companies that are famous and some other facts she thought she needed to know but still she was hesitant to choose one

"Baby girl in the entertainment industry there is no peace of mind, every upcoming artist have had to face one scandal or the other even I had to deal with a few of them when I debuted" Fei Hong corrected her, she entered the entertainment industry the same year, she entered school so she knew a few about what life in the entertainment industry

"I know but_"

"No buts first we have Graceful clouds entertainment which is partially owned by your family that makes it a no since we both know that you aren't ready to deal with your family yet. Then we have Huang entertainment, everyone know that the Huang entertainment company is a lions den full of lecherous men, so that's also a No" She sipped her coffee and spoke with a matter of fact tone as she summarized the content written on the paper

"What of this company?" Yu Xiao yan asked pointing to a paper that Fei Hong had ignored.

"Rainbow entertainment? That's old school, they used to be very good until their owner died and his son went missing, now they have gone bankrupt and are on the verge of closing soon so that's also a no"

"Ah! This is so frustrating! There's literally no good company left" she was getting really frustrated, she had been thinking on this issue since the day of the audition but still hadn't found any company she liked, it felt like finding a pin among a pile of hay stacks

"Not really, we still have Spring season entertainment and it should just be right for you, it's under the Ye corporation and they are really good at grooming new talents"

"Spring season? Is that not the company you're under?" Yu Xiao yan had seen through her friends trick, Fei Hong had always been trying to convince her into joining Spring season entertainment from the very moment she showed interest in becoming an actress.

"Ok fine you caught me but what I said is true, Spring season is the best amongst all the existing entertainment companies and everybody know this. It is also one of the investors in Forest treasure" Fei Hong replied honestly

"But such a big company, do you think they would sign a rookie like me? Beside most of their managers are already well known or what do you think?" Apart from finding a suitable company, her other worry was finding a good manager. She heard most managers weren't willing to accept newbies because they were in search of already popular actists to boost their own reputation. the last thing she would also want is a sly bastard as a manager, she might look like a pushover but she just doesn't know if she would be able to keep this image if she ends up with someone distasteful.

"You don't have to worry, I spoke to my manager and she accepted but she said she had to see you first" 

Yu Xiao yan was speechless

"You...you already told her? What if I had not agreed to join" she looked perplexed at her friend who was beaming with smiles

"There's no what if, I knew I would definitely be able to convince you, well since everything is settled already, let's go shopping!" She happily pulled Yu Xiao yan up from the couch and happily tugged her to go and dress

Yu Xiao complained "Shopping? For what?" 

"You need new clothes, you can't work wearing those things you call cloth" Yu Xiao yan had a boyish sense of dressing, most of her clothes looked like guy's clothes. She barely had any female clothes, even the dress she wore to the audition was purchased on that very day but she was no worse than Fei Hong.

If Yu Xiao yan dressing sense was that of a thumb boy then Fei Hong was a freaking transgender.

Yu Xiao yan rolled her eyes at her friend who was acting all holier than thou "whatever but you're paying"

At the Yu family residence Everyone was seated round the dining table, Yu zhi ruo was constantly blushing from all the praises being showered on her by everyone.

"Ay cousin you're really blessed to have such a fiance like Bro Zhou I really envy you" Yu Anna teased Yu zhi ruo as she had just gotten off the phone with Mo Zhou

"That's enough Anna" she bashfully exclaimed at her cousin, her embarrassed look made her look very pure and naive that even the strictest person would want to pamper her, but underneath that pure and innocent look was an ugly personality that people would flee from without a second thought. Yu zhi ruo had successful fooled everyone in the Yu family, they all loved like because they thought she was kind and lovely but if only they knew who truly she was, they would slap themselves in their face for being so blind.

"Indeed my Zhi ruo is truly blessed from heaven" Gao ling was very proud of this daughter of hers that was not only beautiful but also very filial and successful.

"Mom you too!" She covered her face shyly

"Sorry to leave like this but I have to go Bro Zhou's waiting" Yu zhi ruo explained courteously she left the dinning grinning from ear to ear, she was happy she had every thing she wish for and there was no one to compete with her, she had worked hard all these years to make people forget about her hideous past, little by little they had all forgotten that she wasn't a true daughter of the family, they even hated the real daughter. what she wants, she would get and nothing would ever stop her from taking over everything! Not even a battalion on celestial beings!
