The Ceremony starts: First Mission

The crowd's attention was immediately drawn to the loud voice, wanting to find out who that voice belonged to.

A young boy around the age of sixteen stepped into the stadium. The young boy had short blond hair and medium-sized bright blue eyes like that of the sea. His presence quickly drew the attention of everyone at the stadium. As for who this young boy was, it was none other than Travis.

"Who is that?", Mr lee asked Mr James in what seemed like a whisper. He wanted to know who exactly dared to interrupt him in the middle of his speech.

"That is Travis Tale. He is one of the students who are participating in the ceremony", Mr James whispered back.

"Oh, I see. Does he have any unique magic or superpower?", Mr Lee asked expecting a surprising answer. However, What Mr James said next totally dispirited him.

"Hmph! And he dared interrupt my speech? Is he courting death?", Mr Lee coldly snorted and then turned to the crowd.

Mr James merely shook his head. It seems that Mr Lee never changes.

"Okay, we have been informed that the young boy who just entered is one of the main participants of the ceremony. So, without wasting much time, let's begin the ceremony!", Mr Lee said drawing the crowd back to the program.

"Who is that?", Mr Wright asked Mrs Rose who was supposed to be his advisor for the ceremony.

"That is Travis Tale. One of the most notorious students we have. He is one of the normal humans, that is he has no powers!", Mrs Rose said in an angry and displeased manner.

"It seems like you have a grudge against this student. Why is that?", Mr Wright asked.

"Hmph, every teacher has a grudge against this student! He is totally disrespectful!", Mrs Rose continued to slander Travis' name.

"Hmm. I see", a smile formed on Mr Wright's face as he looked at Travis who was currently joining the class to take part in the ceremony.

"Hey, Travis, why are you so late?", Jim asked worriedly as he looked at Travis who was entering the crowd with sweat all over his body.

"Hey, Jim, I had a few things to do! Moreover, I didn't wake up early.", Travis said with a smile, as he wiped the sweat off his face.

"What's wrong? You look nervous.", Travis said as he parted Jim's shoulder.

"Hm, nothing. It's just that, should we really be doing this?", Jim asked Travis with an anxious look on his face.

"Yes! We should be doing this. What has come into you today?", Travis said.

"I was just feeling guilty. Either way, where are your parents? Did you come with them?", Jim asked.

"Oh, Crap! I came without them! I forgot to inform them! Damn!", Travis began to curse loudly after he heard Jim's question.

"In this ceremony, the participants are going to go through five trails. All the trails will be done in space rifts in order not to damage anything here. The race will be projected by a large projector. As for the other trails, the participants will know after they finish each one."

"Now Let's begin the ceremony!", Mr Lee said as he raised his hand.

With the drop of his hand, a blinding light was released, blinding all the crowd and the participants.

*Swish!*

With a swish, everything turned dark.

"A space teleportation array, huh?", Travis thought as he opened his eyes.

A space array was a transportation device that teleports people from one place to another within mini seconds. It was invented after the appearance of the cursed. It was mainly invented because people usually got attacked by the cursed when travelling for long distances. It seems that Travis and his colleagues were all transferred to this place with the use of a teleportation array that was built underground!

"Why am I so dizzy? Is this one of the symptoms of long dimensional travels? It's really bad!", Travis thought as he tried to stand up, his vision clouded and spinning.

This was one of the main effects of using the teleportation array. You sometimes feel dizzy and weak immediately after you get out of the teleportation array.

"Where the hell am I?", Travis mumbled as he inspected his surroundings.

He was currently in a forest. The forest was limitless, bright, and diverse. Its canopy was marked by pine, ash, and dogwood, sufficient twinkling lights burst through their crowns for colourful ferns to control the flat, fertile grounds below.

Swooping Large climbing plants suspended from the occasional tree, and a potpourri of flowers, which claimed remnants of light, added some bright touches to the otherwise brown and green backdrop.

However, even though the forest was beautiful, Travis knew it was very dangerous. That was because he could also hear a discord of beastly noises, predominantly those of birds, beasts and vermin, reverberated through the air, and were backed by the barrage of noise coming from a waterfall in the distance.

He then stood up and proceeded to move. However,

A digital menu popped up in front of him.

'Huh? Oh yeah, They said this. So, this is the way they will explain the stages to us. Through a pop-up menu?', Travis thought as he started to read the contents of the menu.

"Sigh, So I am the last person. Hm, I should hurry up else I would lose.", Travis sighed as he looked at the map that was given to him.

The map had a blue dot at its centre. That was probably the flag. However, around a hundred red dots were moving towards the blue dot. The red dots were probably his colleagues.

"Hmm, I have to hurry. For people with magic power, this distance isn't much but for people with no magic power, It's going to be a big headache. They will disqualify almost all the normal people using this method. But I probably won't be part of the 'most' ", Travis muttered to himself as a wicked smile formed on his face.

*Boom! Swish*

With a huge boost of power, he also started moving with an unimaginable speed for someone with no superpower.
