Disappointed Oscar

Ch-47

Oscar took the food bags and kept them in his car. He went to Bernadetta's hotel and made the chef make these dishes with utmost care before bringing them to the hospital.

But the moment, he entered he heard her cursing her meeting with him and his family.

He wondered, was she really not the kind of person whom he thought to be?

And here she was wishing to not have met him and his family and even called them bad luck. Was it a misunderstanding from his side?

[Don't you know well? Why are you still trying to deny the fact that she is not one of the kinds of those women?] His inner self said to him.

Oscar agreed to his inner self's words. He knew from the start that she was not that kind of person but he wanted to believe it that way. When he convinced himself to believe that way, things went awry to the point that he almost raped her. He regretted his actions.

Putting all the thoughts aside, he walked inside the ward. Oscar decided to put the bags on the table, walking there froze at the sight. He almost dropped the bags on the table when he saw his gun on the table. He forgot about the existence of his gun. Seeing it at Luciana's bedside, he got panicked. He knew she couldn't take any violence. So, he immediately took it and tucked it into the back of his pants.

Just then he turned to look at Luciana, she furrowed her brows as she slowly turned her head towards him. Oscar was feeling nervous to see her now. But the moment her eyes fell on him, he saw the panic appear in her. Her guard rose high as if he was a big monster who would eat her up.

He felt ashamed, guilty, worried, and disappointed when he saw her moving backward, as she covered herself with the blanket. And the way she tried to look for more clothes to cover herself, made him gulp down a painful lump down his throat.

As it was not enough, she moved back to the farthest corner, where she would have fallen if not for him. But the moment her body touched his chest, he felt a rippling feeling wash over his body.

That feeling didn't last long when he heard her screaming. He wanted to tell her that he wasn't a monster. He wanted to tell her that she would be safe with him. He wanted to tell her, he regrets everything that he did consciously and unconsciously. He wanted to tell her that… he would do anything to rectify it.

There were many things he wanted to tell her but he couldn't. Just then Joe came in and punched him.

Oscar couldn't get it, how could a person punch him?

He was the great Oscar Lorenzo Bernadetta.

No one ever managed to beat him or dared to beat him. It's like a dream to him.

He was so stunned to react for a good few seconds. When he turned his head and looked at them, he saw Luciana hugging Joe with all her might as if she wanted to get engulfed in his body.

Oscar wished she did that for him too the same way. He mentally slapped himself for having such thoughts for her. Right now, all he wanted was to get her forgiveness. He never cared whether someone forgave him, hated him, or have been angry with him. But…. he cared about Luciana's feelings.

When he was asked to leave, Luciana refused to look at him even for a single time. She didn't look relieved till he left the ward. He felt hurt. He doesn't know the source of the hurt, but he was hurt.

On his way out, he saw Evelynn. He wished to hand the food to her, but she rolled her eyes and walked away not before snorting at him.

Ufff… man he messed up with Luciana and her friends. Only these people can go against him knowing fully about him.

These three were the kind of people, who would not care about anything or anyone when one of them was hurt. The brotherhood and camaraderie they had for each other was something he and his mother admired the most.

Oscar left disappointedly and angrily with the food bags in his hands to the home.
