Breakfast

Luciana nodded and guided him to the counter. "Alright, let's begin," she said gently. She picked up an egg and showed him how to hold it. "First, you give the egg a little tap to crack it, just enough to create a small break. Then, you gently pull it apart and pour the egg into the bowl."

She demonstrated the process slowly, making sure he could follow along. "And if any eggshells fall into the bowl, we'll just pick them out and throw them away. No big deal," she continued, her tone calm and reassuring.

Charlie watched intently, absorbing every detail. Then, with a deep breath, he picked up an egg and carefully mimicked her actions. The egg cracked with a soft pop, and he hesitantly pulled the shell apart, letting the egg slide into the bowl. A tiny piece of shell fell in, and for a moment, he looked worried. But then he remembered Luciana's words, and quickly fished the shell out, beaming up at her.

"Did I do it right?" he asked, his voice hopeful.
