Stay close

"Your Highness, we have arrived at the castle" said the coachman as he stopped driving the horses and he stepped down to open the carriage doors.

"Alright then, Thank you" said Liam as he got out of the carriage.

"Thank you" said Wura as she smiled as she got out of the carriage and the coachman smiled back at her.

"You are welcome My lady" he said.

"If only she would smile at me with such sincerity, instead of constantly sending me a dirty glare as if I have taken away her only source of livelihood" said Liam as he scoffed to himself.

"Shall we go now?" asked Liam as he turned to look at Liam.

"Of course your highness" said Wura.

"Then follow me" he said a she began to work and Wura followed behind him.

Liam would have offered to hold her hand, but he did not want her glaring at him anytime soon, before she began to curse him silently in her heart.

"May I know where we are going your highness??" asked Wura as she followed him into the castle walls.

"You shall see when we arrive there" he said once again as he was still walking, and that made Wura very annoyed, his mystery was not mystifying at all, it was just mostly purely irritating.

Wura believed that he treated her like a little girl, like a pet that he could control, who only did what she was told, and that was not who she was at all.

Wura decided to let go of her anger and she decided to focus her attention on something else that is not Liam.

Her eyes went to the castle walls, they were old and they looked very strong, this was the first time that Wura had actually walked in the main castle and also in the day time, last time she and the other maidens entered the castle through the women's quarters and that was at nighttime.

Now that she saw the castle in the light, she realized that it was not as gloomy as she had first thought, it actually felt very relaxing and comely, there were fireplaces at designated areas that warmed up the stone wall castle at this season that they were currently in.

Liam looked back to make sure that Wura was still following him, since she had been very quiet, and he saw her looking at the walls and the floors, and the decorations hung in the palace, she actually looked very cute when she was intrigued and it made Liam let out a subtle laugh.

As Liam and Wura were walking they passed by several guards, as much as Liam would have loved to acknowledge their greetings, there were just too many guards and servants, and he was sure that he would be dehydrated by the time he reached the place they were going.

Wura finally snapped out of her intrigued state and she realized that they were still walking to who knows where??? the Castle was really big, sure it looked big on the outside, but Wura was truly surprised on how big the Castle really was.

She was sure that the Castle was ten times as big as her home, and that said something, her home was considered one of the biggest in Wyverdale.

Wura snapped out of her thoughts when she began to hear noises that sounded like chants??

She looked at Liam who's back was turned towards her it was now she noticed that he was actually much more taller than her, in fact now that she got a closer look at him, she did not even reach up to his shoulders, which disturbed him, she had never noticed that he was this tall on all the occasions of their meetings, maybe it was because he was always usually sitting down.

And on top of that she now noticed that he had very broad shoulders.

"What in the heavens are you thinking Diwura Lily Scot??" asked Wura to herself as she face-palmed herself, she was letting her thoughts get wayy too out of hand, she was sure that if Liam had the ability to read thoughts, she would have been long gone by now.

No, now Wura was very sure that they were heading to a very noisy area, the chants became louder and louder, Wura could promise that she was sure that a fight was going on.

"Stay close to me" said Liam as he stopped and he turned to look at Wura.

"Okay" she said as she nodded and she moved closer to him.

They walked more for a while, until they both walked into an opened that broke off in the castle.

The sudden light from the sun startled Wura's eyes and she covered them, she was now at the main source of the chants and noise, and it was now that she was sure of why the chants were so loud.

Wura could see many men, they were knights if she was not mistaken, they were all sparring and fighting in different parts of the area, the sound of clashing of swords was very loud.

Other knights stood and watched from the sidelines as some knights sparred with each other, Wura certainly wondered how they could train like this in the cold, they were all wearing minimum, to little clothing, the knights really were steadfast and diligent as if the cold did not bother them at all.

Liam walked passed all the knights who were busy training and the ones who were watching from the sidelines, the knights did not stop their sparring to greet the prince, they rather continued.

Wura did as she was told and she stayed very close to Liam. Liam walked towards four men standing and resting on a stone wall behind them as they watched a fight.

"Hey guys" called Liam with a smile as he received the attention of the four men that all turned to look at him.

"Well if it is not the sweet prince" said one of the four men as he looked at the others and laughed mockingly.

"Hello to you too" said Liam as he laughed, and Wura was just standing there silently without saying a single word.
