What to say

"Liam's inability to remember us is more serious than we can even imagine" said Elihu as he and Mero were behind everyone else as they put some distance between them and the others as they wanted to speak without anyone hearing them.

"You are right Elihu, he cannot remember his wife, neither can he remember me or any of us" said Mero as he sighed.

"This is serious, if not for the Queen's insistence, I would have insisted that this man we have with us is not Liam at all, but rather he only looks like him, but her Majesty is sure that it is him" said Elihu.

"She is his wife, of course she knows her own husband better than anyone else" said Mero.

"It would seem so" said Elihu.

"But what are we going to do about this?" asked Elihu as he looked at Mero, he did not want to believe that the only thing that they could do was follow Liam wherever he went, it would raise suspicion eventually, and Elihu could see that Darla did not like the fact that they were coming along with them.

"The Queen decided that we will have to find a way to break the enchantment that Liam has" said Mero.

"Oh great, and how exactly do we do that?" asked Elihu because the last time he checked, they were not sorcerers or diviners, or witches who had the ability to break enchantments.

"We do not know how yet, but we will find a way" said Mero.

"Mero, there is no place for your sanguinity here" said Elihu as he scoffed.

"Believe when I say that when Liam looks at the Queen, I can see some sense of familiarity in his eyes, it would seem that he himself just does not seem to understand why that Is so" said Mero as Elihu just sighed.

"Well then, I believe that it is up to her Majesty to find a way to break the enchantment on him" said Elihu.

"I believe that she will find a way" said Mero as he replied.

Wura just kept on looking at Liam, she could not take her eyes off him, not at all, she kept on thinking, she had to find a way to get him alone so she could talk to him, but the one time that Darla finally left him alone, she could not speak to him since Darla returned too quickly for her liking, and also because Malcom and Dothan were here with her, she could not say anything at all, after all, she still did not know if they could trust them.

Wura looked at Liam as he rode ahead, she wanted to call out to him and touch him, and just tell him how much she missed him, and he was right here, right in front of her, and still, she could not say all the things that were in her heart to him.

Wura sighed, this was very difficult for her, trying to think, she felt so much uncertainty, she had been thinking, if Elysia did not tell her about Liam's loss of memory, that must have meant that she herself did not know about it, which meant that maybe Liam only recently lost him memory, and it was not from the moment that he fell into the portal.

Wura felt like her head could blow from all the thoughts that she had running through her head.

"Hey Lily" called Dothan as Wura turned to look at him and he made a very silly face that made Wura laugh unconsciously.

"That is much better" said Dothan as he smiled and Wura smiled at him, he was sweet.

"Why did you look so sad?" asked Dothan as Malcom looked at Wura as well.

"I was just thinking…" said Wura.

"About what?" asked Malcom.

"Well nothing actually…" replied Wura as she did not want to have to explain.

"That did not look like nothing at all" said Dothan as Wura just smiled at him.

"It was, thank you for making me laugh" said Wura as she smiled, she did need to laugh and just stop thinking on all her life problems.

"You are welcome Lily, and if you ever get sad again, you have us to make you happy" said Dothan as he smiled and Wura laughed.

"You are so sweet, thank you" said Wura as she smiled, she considered Malcom and Dothan like the little brothers she never had, if she had younger siblings, she would have liked them to be like Malcom and Dothan, they were so funny and sweet.

"You hear that Malcom, I am sweet, Lily thinks that I am sweet" said Dothan as Malcom scoffed.

"Of course only someone as dumb as you would think that being called sweet is a good thing, I would rather prefer to the called handsome" said Malcom with a happy smile on his face as Wura laughed, these two were just so funny.

"Hey, you are not handsome, if anything you are very ugly" said Dothan.

"Right Lily?" asked Dothan as he looked at Wura and Wura just laughed as she preferred not to say anything that would end up being misinterpreted.

"You both are handsome" she said with a smile as In the same moment she turned her horse to move back as she moved to ride by Mero.

"You chased her away" said Malcom.

"No I did not" replied Dothan as he shook her head and Darla scoffed, she did not like the fact that the both of them were getting so close to Wura, she did not like it at all.

"Is something the matter my Queen?" asked Mero as he looked at Wura.

"No, I Malcom and Dothan are speaking too much for my liking" said Wura as she laughed lightly.

"Besides, I do not want to see Liam and that woman there together" replied Wura as Mero just looked at her.

"As you wish my Queen" replied Mero as he knew that there was nothing he could say that could make Wura try to feel better about the situation that they were in.

Wura could not sleep, not at all, her eyes were wide open, it would seem that it was only the first night that they had found Liam that she was able to sleep, after that, she could not sleep at all again, only a little bit, she would wake up early, before anyone else.

Wura thought that maybe all the stress that she was feeling was the one causing her sleeplessness, she just sighed as she heard some moving sounds not too far away as she quickly closed her eyes and opened them again when she heard the footsteps move further away from each other.

Wura turned to the right slowly as she saw Liam, he was walking as he walked to a giant rock and he sat down on it as he looked to the horizon.

Wura looked at Liam, she wondered if he could not sleep, she had observed for the past few days that Liam always woke up early, and when he did, he would walk out to watch the sunrise.

Wura was thinking to herself, this was the only time that she could find him alone, other times, he was always with Darla, but Darla and the rest were sleeping right now, and she and Liam were awake, she knew that this was her chance to finally speak to Liam alone.

She had decided on it, she knew that she would… but the problem was that she did not know just what to say.

"Alright Wura, calm yourself… say whatever comes to mind… yes, whatever comes to mind" said Wura to herself as she made her decision and she nodded her head as she took a deep breath and she removed all the blankets that Nora had covered her with as she slowly took steps to the rock where Liam was sitting on.

Liam heard footsteps coming from behind him as he turned to look at who it was when he saw Wura walking right towards him, he was surprised at first but he just watched her walk to him.

Wura felt her heart beat quicken, she wondered why he was just looking at her like that without saying anything, did he remember her? No it did not seem like he remembered her at all.

"What are you doing up at this time?" asked Liam with a smile as he finally spoke and Wura breathed a sigh of relief, his gaze was too intense for her, she felt like if he kept on looking at her like that, she would end up saying everything in her heart and mind.

"I could not sleep" said Wura as she replied and she attempted to get onto the rock as Liam helped her up.

"Thank you" said Wura as Liam just smiled at her.

"I see" replied Liam as Wura looked at him and he turned to look at the horizon as she did the same.

"And what are you doing awake at this time?" asked Wura as she threw the question back to him, hoping that he would answer.

"I could not sleep as well" replied Liam.

"So I prefer to watch the sun rise rather than to turn and toss" replied Liam as Wura felt her heart prick, her Liam was here, he was her Liam, her Liam also loved watching the sun rise, he said so himself, when they went horse riding together and they both watched the sun rise, she loved that day, spending time with him, she loved that.

"The Sunrise is beautiful is it not?" asked Wura.

"You can say that again Lily" replied Liam with a smile as Wura felt even worse right now, when he called her Lily… she knew that she was the one who introduced herself to him as Lily, but her name was Wura, she wanted to hear him call her Wura again, the way he called her name always made her feel so happy, even though she never showed it, but she had dug her pit, she could not go and tell him that her name was not Lily but Wura, it would only confuse him further.

"The sunrise is just so calling, peaceful" replied Liam as he smiled.

"It makes you relax and stop thinking of the many questions that you have in your mind" said Liam as he did not know why he found it so easy to speak to Lily, he felt like he knew her, even though he did not.

"You have many thoughts in your mind?" asked Wura carefully.

"Yes, I do, and I am sure that everyone has them" replied Liam as he looked at Wura and she nodded.

"What do you think about?" asked Wura as she hoped that he would tell her.

"Well about many things, life… where I am now… the memories that I cannot remember" said Liam as Wura looked at him as her heartbeat quickened, so he knew that he could not remember any of his memories.

"You cannot remember your memories?" asked Wura carefully.

"Well yes, some of them… the ones before now… this moment, I cannot remember them, even though I try so hard to, I try to unlock them, but it would seem that they are locked and stored in the deepest part of my mind" replied Liam as Wura could sense his frustration, she wanted to tell him that she was frustrated that he could not remember as well.

"Why can you not remember?" asked Wura as she wanted to know if he knew why.

"I do not know why" replied Liam.

"One day, I just woke up, with no recollection of who I am, or who I was, all I knew was that my name was Liam, and that was all" replied Liam.

"You did?" asked Wura.

"Yes, I did, I was so confused, I did not know where I was, and then I met Darla, she and her brothers were on their way to fetch water at the well, and they happened to see me there while I was unconscious, and they brought me into their home, a complete stranger" said Liam.

"If not for them helping me and guiding me in this world, I would have not known what to do at all" said Liam as Wura started to feel bad… Darla helped Liam… she helped her husband when he was at his worst point, when he was lost and could not remember anything, she now felt bad for thinking of Darla in a bad way.

"They are very good people are they not?" asked Wura.

"Yes they are, they even agreed to embark on this journey with me, because they said that I could not survive in their lands, that there were many dangers on the way to find the answers that I seek, so they decided to go with me and help me, and for that, I am very grateful" said Liam as he smiled and Wura knew that she owed the fact that she was able to find Liam healthy and well because of Darla and what she did for him, now she understood why they were all so close.

"They helped you a lot…" said Wura.

"Yes they did, and I will always be grateful to them for taking in a complete stranger that could not remember who he was, or where he came from" said Liam as he smiled and he looked at Wura as Wura now felt like she owed her gratitude to Darla for taking care of Liam.

"You said that you just woke up with no recollection of your memories at all?" asked Wura.

"Or at least that is what I remember" replied Liam as Wura started to think that maybe Liam lost his memories as soon as he fell through the portal, but that did not make any sense at all.

"You… you said that you are looking for you wife" said Wura.

"Yes I am" replied Liam.

"But if you cannot remember your memories, then how are you looking for your wife?" asked Wura.

"Well because I have dreams of her" said Liam as Wura felt her heartbeat quicken.

"Dreams?" asked Wura as Liam nodded his head as she was confused, she was his wife and she was right here, beside him, she was sure that it was not her that he was seeing in his dreams.

"How do you know that the woman you see in your dreams is your wife?" asked Wura in curiosity and disbelief.

"I see visions of her, blurry ones, but I can make out her face, it is like I am seeing memories of the time we spent together… I saw a ring on her finger as she said yes when I proposed to her" said Liam as Wura was getting more confused, Liam was seeing false memories, that was not what happened between them at all.

"I see" said Wura.

"Yes, I told Darla about my dreams, and she told me that the only place she knew that I could find answers were at the first city, which is where we are going now" said Liam as Wura nodded her head, now it made sense, Liam was also looking for answers, just like they all were.

"And what about you Lily?" asked Liam as he looked at her, he felt as if he had been speaking too much, and yet she had said nothing about herself to him.

"You said that you are looking for your lover?" asked Liam.

"Ahh yes" said Wura as she nodded her head and she looked at him.

"You are married?" asked Liam as he saw the rings on her finger as Wura looked down at the two rings on her finger not knowing what to say.
