Hope and pray

The next day.

Darla was walking to the stables as she almost stopped when she saw Elihu standing there with his horse as he fed him.

Darla stopped as she contemplated whether or not to just turn around and leave, it was clear that Elihu did not want to see her, that was why since what happened between them, she had not seen him once.

Darla was about to turn around and walk away when Elihu suddenly looked back in her direction and he called out to her which made Darla freeze.

"Darla" called Elihu as Darla took a deep breath and she turned to look at him, she wished that he had not noticed her, but at the same time, maybe she was happy that he had noticed her, she was just scared to say the least.

"Oh, you… you are here, I did not see you there" said Darla as Elihu just looked at her and he shook his head.

"I was coming to get my horse…" said Darla as her voice trailed off, she did not know what else to say, the way that they left things off between them was very weird, and the awkwardness was very present, you could not miss it at all.

"Good Morning Darla" said Elihu as he did not even know why he was greeting her.

"Good Morning Elihu" said Darla as she replied and she saw no use of running away now so she walked to the stables to get her horse ready for their journey today.

"I can see that you are walking properly now, how is your foot?" asked Elihu.

"Oh it is fine, as good as new, like it was never broken in the first place" said Darla as she smiled.

"I am happy" said Elihu with a smile as Darla nodded as there was a great silence between them.

"Darla I…" said Elihu as Darla cut him off.

"You do not have to say anything Elihu, it is clear that I was too forward, I should not have leaned in for that kiss or encourage you to kiss me" said Darla as Elihu did not know what else to say, she had cut him off.

"So you are angry with me?" asked Elihu.

"No Elihu, I am not angry with you, I am angry with myself, I should have never… we should have never, you know, I am sorry for making things weird between us, because it is clear that you want nothing to do with me" said Darla.

"I never said that Darla, it is not that…" said Elihu as he was cut off.

"But the way you reacted when we kissed, it was as if you were disgusted to say the least" said Darla as she scoffed.

"No Darla, wait, let me explain, that is not it at all, it is not like I do not… you need to stop looking at me like that and let me explain" said Elihu as Darla looked like she was not in the mood for any sort of explanation at all.

"Elihu, I am sure you know that we have to reach the first city before nightfall, so it is best that we prepare everything and be on our way, this… what we have between us is not important at all" said Darla.

"Darla, I know you are hurt, but you have to listen to me" said Elihu.

"You words and actions have said enough Elihu, you do not have to worry about wasting your breath, I get the message, and I will never bother you again" said Darla as she took her horse by the reins and she pulled it as she and her horse walked away.

Elihu sighed, Darla was so stubborn that she would not even let him explain, and he did not even bother chasing after her, because knowing her, she would not listen to him while she was upset like this.

So Elihu decided to let her go and let her calm down, he would speak to her and try to explain everything to her later.

"My lady I have packed all of your belongings" said Nora as Wura looked at her reflection in the mirror as her hair was back to being all curly as she sighed.

"That is nice Nora" said Wura as she smiled.

"My lady, are you sad because of your hair?" asked Nora as Wura turned to look at her.

"Well yes, among other things, but mostly my hair, I wanted it to be straight for a little while longer, but oh well, I guess that my curls are beautiful as well" said Wura as she laughed and Nora laughed.

"They really are my lady, they add to your charm" said Nora as she smiled.

"Oh you flatter me Nora, I doubt that I have any sort of charm" said Wura as she smiled and she looked down at her heart shaped pendant where she had kept she and Liam's rings as she sighed internally.

"Oh but you do my lady, you might not notice it, but you have a wonderful charm that makes everyone around you to respect you" said Nora as she smiled.

"Thank you Nora" said Wura as she smiled.

"My lady, if you do not mind me asking… I noticed that you were not here in the morning when I woke up" said Nora.

"Oh that… Liam and I went to the river, we needed to talk about some things, and settle some things" said Wura.

"Did you tell him my lady?" asked Nora.

"Nora, I will not lie that I did not consider it, but I was scared of him pushing me away, so no, I did not tell him" said Wura.

"I just hope and pray to the heavens that the witch will tell him nothing but the truth" said Wura.

"I hope and pray with you my lady" said Nora as she nodded.

"Thank you Nora" said Wura as she smiled and there was a knock on the door as Nora walked to open the door and she saw that it was Liam there.

"My lady" said Nora as Wura smiled and she nodded her head to let him in as Liam walked into the room with a smile.

"Ahh well I will go and check on Zuph and the others" said Nora as she bowed her head and she quickly rushed out of the room as she closed the door behind herself and Liam and Wura looked at each other.

"How do you feel my love?" asked Liam as he smiled and Wura walked to him as she hugged him.

"Hmm, I feel wonderful, last night was the best night of my life" said Wura as she smiled and she kissed him.

"Really now?" asked Liam as he laughed.

"Yes, being in your arms, sleeping in your embrace, it was the best night of my entire life" said Wura as she smiled.

"I am glad that it was darling" said Liam as he smiled.

"But you know, it could have been even better if you had just done as I asked you to" said Wura as Liam laughed, he could not believe what he was hearing from her right now.

"Wura Lily Scot, who knew that you could be so naughty?" asked Liam as he laughed.

"It is Wyverdale my love, Diwura Lily Wyverdale, and I am not naughty, I am just longing for you, do you not long for me as well, or am I the only one?" asked Wura as the name Wyerdale rang in Liam's ears, but he could not process it when Wura kept on distracting him with kisses.

"I long for you as well my love, but yesterday was not the good time for that" said Liam as Wura stood on her toes and she gave him a kiss on his nose.

"And what about today? What about right now? Will it be a good time now?" asked Wura as she just wanted to do this, to make Liam remember her, to give him something to never dare forget her.

"You really are mischievous" said Liam as he laughed, he never knew that Wura could try to initiate a move like this.

"What do you say love?" asked Wura.

"No" replied Liam as he gave her a kiss and she frowned.

"You reject me again, this is the second time Liam" said Wura as she let go of him and he held onto her.

"This is still not the right time, you know that we have to go now, what will the others say if they notice that we are nowhere to be found?" asked Liam as Wura frowned.

"You know, I know what I want, and I might be inexperienced but I doubt it should take that long, come on Liam" said Wura as she really wanted to do this right now.

"My love no, and no means no, it is for your own good" said Liam as he gave her kisses, and she hated that she felt herself melting once again in his embrace when she should have been angry with him and stand her ground on what she wanted.

"I value you, and I value you so much that I do not want to taint you" said Liam.

"You would not be tainting me since I want it as well, we are both adults, we can make our own decisions, I am not a baby Liam, I beg you" said Wura as Liam laughed.

"Tell me love, are you offering this to remember me or tie me down?" asked Liam as he laughed.

"Maybe a little bit of both, tell me what to do to make you want me as much as I want you" said Wura as she kissed him.

"Do nothing my darling, because I already want you" said Liam as Wura groaned and she tried to push him, the bed was right there, if only she was strong enough to move him.

Liam laughed as he had an idea of what she was trying to do, unfortunately for her, it would never work.

"Come on my love, we cannot keep the others waiting" said Liam as he laughed and Wura frowned.

"You are annoying" she said.

"And you are very stubborn" said Liam as he laughed and he shook his head as he gave Wura a kiss and she followed after him reluctantly.
