Trust me

"Is this where the witch lives?" asked Liam as Darla got off her horse and he did the same as everyone did the same as they walked and Liam looked ahead at a great, big temple in front of them.

"No, this is not where the witch lives, no one knows where she lives, but this is where she meets people, in this temple" said Darla as she explained and Wura looked around, she had to admit that this temple looked very beautiful just like everything else in the first city.

The Temple was built with very fine looking stone that had a sort of shimmer and shine to it, there were many windows, and a large step of stairs that led to the front doors of the temple.

"This temple is the first one ever built, some say that the firs city got its name from the first temple that was built here" said Malcom.

"I can believe that, the temple is beautiful" said Wura as she smiled and Malcom smiled at her as Darla stopped walking.

"Well this is as far as we can go, we are not allowed to bring animals into the temple's walls" said Darla.

"And especially since we have no business here, so Liam, it is up to you now" said Darla as she looked at Liam.

"Me?" asked Liam in surprise as he looked at Darla and she nodded.

"Yes, you" said Darla.

"You want to see the witch and ask her questions, you have to go in and look for her" said Darla.

"But I do not know where to find her" said Liam.

"Trust me, you will find her, she will not be long, go on, go and look for her, we will wait outside here for you" said Darla as she smiled and Liam nodded as he handed his horse's reins to her as she smiled.

Liam turned around as his eyes landed on Wura and she looked at him, there were so many unsaid words uttered between them just with their eyes.

Liam knew that he had to do this right now, and get this over with, know the truth once and for all.

Liam took a deep breath as he walked up the stairs and he entered into the Temple as Darla guided the others to where they could tie their horses.

"You know it is strange that for such a beautiful temple, there are no guards around to guard it" said Mero as he looked around and he saw no sign of guards at all.

"That is because there is no need for any guards, the temple guards itself, everyone knows better than to just barge in there if they value their life, no one would dare try to steal from the temple" said Darla as she explained.

"I wonder why that is so" said Zuph.

"That is because the last few people who have tried, ended up dead" said Malcom as he laughed and Nora and Wura looked at each other, that did not sound funny to them at all.

"That sounds like witchcraft to me" said Mero as Darla laughed and Elihu laughed as well as their eyes met each other and Darla cleared her throat as she looked away and Elihu sighed internally, he had forgotten that they still had a pending issue between them.

Liam walked into the temple as there were many turns and rooms and ways to go, he was lost, he did not know where he should go.

He wanted to turn around and go and ask Darla to take him to the witch, but then he remembered that she had said that he would find the witch.

So he just decided to choose a direction to go in as he decided to walk straight ahead into the hall.

Liam looked around, for such a big temple it was such an empty temple, he could see no one else except for himself, and there were so many rooms with closed doors.

Liam turned to the right and he continued on in that direction, he did not know why, but something told him to take another turn to the left and continue walking.

At the back of Liam's mind, he hoped that he was not just getting himself lost, but he kept on going, until he saw a room at the end of the hall, and the door of that room was left wide open.

Liam did not know if he should have turned back, but he decided to continue on and check what was in that room.

Liam walked into the room when he was surprised to see a woman with long white hair and brown eyes, sitting down on a red carpet on the ground as she noticed him and she looked at him with a smile.

"Ahh, Liam Phillip Wyverdale, the son of the great Alaric of Wyverdale, welcome, I have been waiting for you" said the woman with a smile as Liam narrowed his eyes at her, could this be the witch that he was looking for, he was not sure, but he called the name Wyverdale, it sounded so familiar, but he could not remember where he heard that name from.

"Liam Wyverdale, is that my name?" asked Liam in uncertainty.

"And Alaric, is that the name of my father?" asked Liam as the woman just smiled at him.

"Come and sit down my child, I know that you have many questions, and I will answer them" said the woman with a smile.

"How do I know that I can trust you?" asked Liam as for some reason, he felt like he was not safe here, like he could not trust this woman that was sitting right in front of him, there was something unsettling about her that he just could not put his finger on.

"You can trust me because I have the answers to all the questions you have been asking yourself for such a long time now" said the woman as she smiled.

"You want to know where your wife is, who she is, if she misses you, if she did not give up on you, you want to know and remember who you are, why you lost your memories, why you feel so much confusion and uncertainty" said the woman as she smiled.

"Come and sit down my child, and I will tell you anything and everything that you need to know" said the woman with a smile as Liam reluctantly walked to sit down across her as the door suddenly closed itself and Liam looked in that direction as he looked back at the woman.

Something about her was not making sense to him, he felt like he had seen her before, but then again, he could not remember from where and when.

"I am Elvira, and you can trust me, I want nothing more than to help you… dear King" said Elvira with a smile.

"King?" asked Liam in confusion as Elvira smiled and she nodded her head.

"I can see that everything I say does not make sense, let me explain it more" said Elvira with a smile as she clapped her hands and a cauldron came out of nowhere.

"Do you want to know the truth?" asked Elvira with a smile as she looked at Liam.

"I want to know the truth" said Liam as he nodded, he was really desperate for the truth right now.

"Then it is easy, you just have to trust me" said Elvira with a smile.

"So do you trust me?" asked Elvira as Liam looked at her, he knew better than to trust a strange woman that he just met and knew nothing about, but he needed to know the truth.

"I trust you, so as long as you tell me the truth" said Liam as he nodded.

"As expected of the son of Alaric" said Elvira as she smiled and she nodded.

"How long do you think Liam is going to be in there?" asked Dothan as he looked at Malcom and Darla.

"I do not know, it depends on how fast he finds the witch, and also how fast she answers his questions" said Darla as she replied and she looked at Wura who was a distance away from them with Nora who was with her.

"My lady, how do you feel?" asked Nora as Wura was moving up and down slowly, trying to distract herself and her mind from thinking of what the witch was telling Liam.

"I am so panicked right now Nora, honestly, I am in so much dread, I can only imagine what the witch is saying to Liam right now" said Wura.

"I hope that it is the truth, but at the same time, I do not know, I am uncertain, I am just so scared right now" said Wura as Nora looked at her in worry, she dd not know what to do or say to try to calm her down right now.

"What is wrong?" asked Mero as he walked to Nora.

"My lady is feeling scared right now, and I do not know what to do to calm her down" said Nora as she looked at Mero, she hoped that he would be able to at lest do something to calm her down.

"My Queen, you need to calm down, panicking like this will do you now good" said Mero as Wura stopped walking up and down as she looked at Mero.

"And who told you that I am not calm Mero?" asked Wura as she looked at Mero.

"Well you are pacing up and down" said Mero.

"Well yes… I am… *Sigh*, I am just so worried, I do not know what to do at all Mero, I do not know what to think, what to feel, I hope that the witch tells Liam the truth and gets rid of the enchantment in his eyes, but on the other hand, I do not know what to think of the witch, is she a good witch or a bad one, can I trust her to tell him the truth or not??" asked Wura as her voice was laced with nothing but frustration.

"My Queen, you said it yourself, you do not know, so the only reasonable thing for you to do is to sit and wait patiently for the end outcome of Liam going to see the witch, only then would you know" said Mero as Nora shook her head, she did not think that he could hear what he was saying right now.

It made no sense, he was supposed to be trying to calm Wura down, and not make her feel even worse that she did not know what was going on.

"Mero, that makes me feel even worse, I am scared of the unknown, what do you expect me to do if… if Liam walks out that door with anger, or worse, he still does not remember me, what will I do then?? This is all just so hard for me" said Wura.

"My lady breathe, you need to breathe" said Nora as Wura nodded and she took deep breath, she could not help but feel this way with everything that was happening right now, she did not know what to feel.

She just kept on getting this sinking feeling in her stomach that things would not turn out great at all, the uneasiness that she felt just started right now out of the blue, and it made her feel even more scared.

"My lady here, drink some water, it should help you calm down" said Nora as she handed Wura a leather bag filled with water as Wura nodded and she drank all the water in one gulp as she took a deep breath and she sighed, she felt a bit better now.

"Thank you Nora" said Wura as Nora smiled and she nodded her head.

"Well it seems that we will be here for a long while, I think that some of us should go to the market and get something for us all to eat while we wait for Liam" said Darla as everyone looked at her.

"I agree with Darla" said Malcom.

"I also think that since it will be late soon, we should find an inn for us all to rest in" said Malcom.

"I agree with that Malcom" said Darla as she knew that Malcom was right.

"Alright, so how about we do this, I will go to the market to buy food for everyone, someone else goes to find an inn for us to rest in" said Darla as she looked at Zuph.

"Zuph, can you go with Malcom to find an inn?" asked Darla as she smiled.

"Sure Darla" said Zuph as he smiled.

"Thank you Zuph" said Darla as she smiled.

"Can I go with them too Darla?" asked Dothan as he smiled.

"No you cannot, stay here Dothan" said Darla as he smiled and Dothan nodded.

"Well alright then, I should be back soon" said Darla as she smiled and she got on her horse as she rode away and Elihu got on his own horse.

"Where are you going?" asked Mero and Malcom at the same time.

"I am going with her; how do you expect us to just let her go on her own like that?" asked Elihu as he rode and he followed after Darla without letting Mero and Malcom reply to him.

"I wonder what is up with him?" asked Zuph as they all looked at him and they wondered the same thing.

Malcom had realized that Darla and Elihu had both been behaving strangely for a few days now, bit he just did not know why that was so, he just ignored it and thought that it was nothing important to worry about.

"Come on Zuph, we should go and find the inn now before it is too late too, the first city is usually very crowded." said Malcom as he looked at Zuph and he smiled as Zuph nodded and he got on his horse and Malcom did the same.

"We will be back soon everyone" said Malcom as he smiled and he and Zuph rode away as Mero turned to look at Wura who still looked like she was panicked and he sighed, he hoped that for her sake and Liam's everything turned out in the right way it was supposed to.
