Be me

Wura was angry as she stormed through the halls, she was going to find her uncle and make sure to deal with whoever had arrested him based on false charges.

"Greetings my Queen" came the voice of two guards as they bowed at Wura while she passed by and she waved them off, she was on her way to the dungeon.

As Wura walked through the halls she could not help but feel something unsettling within her, as If this was much more deeper than she thought.

"My Queen, Greetings" said a guard as he snapped Wura out of her thoughts as he was guarding the door that led to the dungeon.

"Greetings" replied Wura.

"Are you going to the dungeons my Queen?" asked the guard.

"Yes I am, so please open the door for me" said Wura.

"Are you sure that you want to do in there my Queen, the dungeon is… well the dungeon" said the guard.

"I am sure that I want to go in there, now please open the door for me" said Wura as her tone read that she was not in the mood for any more questions.

"Alright my Queen" said the guard as he did not ask any more questions and he bowed as he opened the door for her.

"Thank you" said Wura as she entered through the door as she walked down the stairs carefully, as she started to feel cold, it was cold down here.

Wura kept on walking down the stone stairs as she finally saw a light ahead and she also heard the sound of some voices, it sounded like arguing, and she could also hear the faint voice of her father.

"Father" called Wura as she entered into the cold dungeon and Lawrence turned to look at her.

"Wura, what are you doing down here?" asked Lawrence.

"I saw Aunt Tessa and she told me about what happened" said Wura as she walked to her father and the other man that her father had been arguing with.

"Yes…" said Lawrence as he sighed.

"Greetings my Queen" said the man as he recognized Wura and he bowed down to her as Wura looked at him.

"Greetings" said Wura.

"I am the dungeon keeper my Queen, I am the one in charge of everything that goes on in the dungeon" said the dungeon keeper as he stood up.

"Then you should certainly know that you have brought in my uncle to be locked up here" said Wura.

"That man is your uncle?" asked the dungeon keeper.

"Yes he is, and because of such I demand him to be released now, he is not guilty of what he is being charged with" said Wura.

"I am sorry my Queen, but I cannot do that" said the dungeon keeper.

"And why not?" asked Wura as she could not believe this.

"Because my Queen, I have orders not to allow the man go anywhere, he is convicted on his crimes" said the dungeon keeper.

"That Is a lie, my uncle Is innocent, I tell you to let him go now" said Wura.

"My dear, please calm down" said Lawrence as Wura was not listening to him at all, how could she calm down when her family member was being treated so unjustly.

"No Father, do not tell me to calm down, tell me who gave you the orders not to let my uncle go?" asked Wura.

"That would be me my Queen" said Elder Foden with a smile as he walked to where Wura and her father were as Wura looked at him, her eyes wavering in confusion and shock.

"Elder Foden" said Lawrence as he looked at Elder Foden.

"Lawrence, I did not know that you are here" said Elder Foden with a smile.

"Elder Foden, just what is the meaning of this?" asked Wura as she looked at Elder Foden, from the way he was looking it was clear that he was the one behind all of this.

"I do not understand what you mean my Queen" replied Elder Foden with a smile.

"You are obviously the one behind this, why did you charge my uncle for a crime that he did not commit, this is injustice, and I demand that he be released immediately now" said Wura.

"My Queen, it seems that you have forgotten our earlier conversation?" asked Elder Foden.

"That has no correlation to this at all Elder Foden" said Wura.

"Oh but it does my Queen, I informed you of my findings, and you gave me your permission to do as I deem fit" said Elder Foden with a smile as Wura knew that something was wrong.

"My uncle is innocent" said Wura.

"Or so you believe, but he is not, he was found as part of those who were conspiring against the king" said Elder Foden.

"I do not care what you say, my uncle will be released now" said Wura as she walked past Elder Foden when she heard his voice call out to her.

"Are you going to go against your own words my Queen?" asked Elder Foden with a smile as his words held a deeper meaning.

Wura stopped in her tracks, she knew that she was placed in a sticky situation, going against her own words would pin her to a wall, now she knew It all, it all made sense to her now, Elder Foden had planned all of this.

Coming to see her, asking for her permission, it was all his plan to disgrace her, going to release Richard now would paint her as an immature Queen who did not know the levity of her words and would forgo the law for her own family members.

"I know what you are planning, and let me tell you that I will never succeed" said Wura as she turned around to look at Elder Foden who was just smiling at her.

"I do not know what you mean by that my Queen" said Elder Foden as he feigned ignorance and Lawrence could sense something foul going on here.

"The innocent man will always be vindicated, just know that" said Wura as Elder Foden just smiled.

"Come on Father, we will see uncle Richard later" said Wura as Lawrence nodded and he followed after her as they left the dungeon.

"Make sure that he does not escape" said Elder Foden to the dungeon keeper as the dungeon keeper nodded.

"Good" said Elder Foden with a smile.

"This is horrible, so horrible" said Wura as she paced up and down in Liam's office.

"My Queen, you called for me?" asked Mero as he walked into Liam's office.

"Mero, Mero, you have to help me, Elder Foden got my uncle charged with crimes that he did not commit, apparently my uncle was involved with the rebels in the north, but I know that is not true" said Wura as she looked at Mero, he was the only one that she trusted to solve this matter.

"My Queen, those are baseless accusations, you are the Queen, you can do as you wish" said Mero.

"But I cannot, Elder Foden came to me earlier today, asking on how he would proceed with the matter, he asked me for my permission to do as he wished and I gave it to him" said Wura as Mero sighed.

"My Queen, you should not have" said Mero with a sigh as he knew just how serious this was.

"I know" said Wura.

"You should have called me and asked me to handle it, this could have been avoided" said Mero.

"I did not know that at the time Mero, I did not know that that man was wicked, vile and cunning, and now he has pinned me to a wall" said Wura.

"Oh Mero, what do I do? What do I do? I do not know what to do, help me" said Wura.

"I beg you Mero, help me, find a way to settle this" said Wura as she begged Mero.

"My Queen, please calm down, I will try my best to handle this" said Mero as he could see that Wura was stressed.

"Please Mero please, I beg you, my Aunt is suffering and it is all my fault, I should have known that something was wrong" said Wura.

"My Queen, please do not blame yourself, you could not have known that Elder Foden was up to something as diabolical as this" said Mero as Wura felt like crying, she could not handle anything, she thought that she could, but she could not do it at all.

"Oh Mero" said Wura as she hugged Mero, she could not take this, she could not take this at all.

"Please calm down my Queen, I will see what I can do, but your uncle will have to spend the night in the dungeon, I need to find out what Elder Foden is planning" said Mero as Wura nodded and she stopped hugging him.

"Mero do everything and anything you need to do to get my uncle released" said Wura.

"I will my Queen, I will trust me" said Mero seriously.
