Someone else

A few days later.

"Come in" said Wura as she heard a knock on the door to Liam's room as she was brushing her hair.

"Good Morrow my Queen" said Mero as he walked into the room and he gave a polite bow.

"Good Morrow Mero" said Wura with a smile.

"How do you feel my Queen?" asked Mero.

"Better than other days Mero, thank you for asking" said Wura with a smile, ever since what happened with her drinking a few days ago, Mero had made it his duty to ask her how she was every morning, and Wura could not lie that she did not appreciate the gesture.

Sometimes, it just felt good to talk about what she was feeling, and both Mero and Nora were excellent people who loved to check up on her.

"I am glad my Queen" said Mero as he was relieved that she truly seemed to be doing better.

"Is there something you wanted to talk about Mero?" asked Wura with a smile as she looked at Mero who seemed to be looking around and lost in thought, which was not something that Mero was prone to doing, if anything, he was always in control of his thoughts and emotions.

"Ahh, well no my Queen, I just wanted to check on you" said Mero as he snapped out of his thoughts.

"Ahh I see…" said Wura.

"What are you hiding behind your back Mero?" asked Wura as she put down her brush on her dressing table as she stood up and noticed that Mero seemed to be hiding something behind his back.

"Nothing my Queen" said Mero.

"Nothing?" asked Wura as Mero nodded.

"But it is something, show me what it is" said Wura in curiosity as Mero did not see any use in hiding so he stopped hiding his right hand behind his back as he revealed a little bouquet of white tulips.

"Tulips" said Wura with a smile as she was surprised.

"Are they for me?" asked Wura with a smile as she looked at Mero who shook his head.

"No?" asked Wura in a mix of surprise and confusion.

"No my Queen, they are not for you" replied Mero.

"They are for someone else" said Mero.

"Oh… I am sorry, I thought that they were for me" said Wura as she felt embarrassed to think that Mero would bring her flowers, come to think of it she had never imagined him gifting flowers to anyone, he did not seem like that type of man.

"There is no need to apologize my Queen, I should have explained to you and cleared up all misunderstandings" said Mero as Wura smiled.

"So tell me Mero who is the lucky woman that you would want to give flowers?" asked Wura out of curiosity, she was sure that the flowers with Mero were for someone in the castle whom he liked.

Mero cleared his throat as he really did not want to talk about this, he should have not brought the flowers over here with him, now Wura was asking questions that he was not prepared to answer.

"Oh I see Mero, it is a secret, you do not want to tell me" said Wura as she laughed.

"No my Queen, it is not like that at all I…" said Mero as he was cut off.

"You do not have to worry Mero, I am not offended at all, you are allowed to keep secrets of your own" said Wura as she smiled.

"Those tulips are beautiful, I hope that whoever you brought them for will like them" said Wura with a smile.

"Thank you my Queen, I will take my leave now" said Mero as he bowed and Wura smiled as he left the room.

"It seems that Mero has someone that he is interested in, how interesting" said Wura as she laughed, she was happy for Mero, and she would be even more happy for him if he was in a relationship, he was a very good man, and he deserved an equally good woman be happy with.

Mero sighed internally as he regretted holding the flowers in his hand, so much to listening to Luc, the person he was looking for was not even there.

"Should I go look for her, or just throw these away?" asked Mero to himself as he looked at the flowers, it would be a waste to throw them away.

Mero sighed as he continued on walking.

Nora was busy tidying up Wura's room as she suddenly heard a knock on the door while she was dusting the bed.

"Come in" said Nora as the door opened and she looked up as she was surprised by who she saw.

"Oh good morrow Mero" said Nora as she smiled.

"Good Morrow Nora" replied Mero.

"Are you looking for the Queen, if so, she is not here, she is in his Majesty's room, I am here to clean" said Nora as she smiled.

"No, I am not looking for the Queen" said Mero as he walked closer to Nora.

"Oh I see, is there something that I can help you with?" asked Nora with a smile.

"Yes, I need you to hold on to these for me" said Mero as he handed the flowers to Nora as she collected the flowers in confusion.

"Oh they are such wonderful tulips, and they are fresh as well" said Nora with a smile as she smelt the flowers.

"I am sure that the Queen would love them, she does love flowers quite a lot" said Nora with a smile as Mero frowned.

"They are not for the Queen" said Mero.

"They are not?" asked Nora as she looked at Mero in confusion.

"Yes" said Mero.

"Then who are they for?" asked Nora as she did not understand.

"They are for you" said Mero.

"Me?" asked Nora as she could not believe it.

"Yes you" said Mero as he confirmed and Nora was left even more confused.

"Why for me?" asked Nora.

"Because, you deserve hem" aid Mero.

"Umm… I do not think that I can accept these Mero, really, they are not for me" said Nora as she shook her head.

"Please take them from me Nora, I bought them for you" said Mero as Nora looked at him surprised to say the least.

"Please Nora…" said Mero as Nora sighed, she did not want to disappoint him.

"Oh alright then" said Nora as she sighed.

"Thank you Nora" said Mero as he smiled and Nora felt her heart skip a beat, she had never seen Mero smile before, he looked nice when he smiled.

"This is the first time that I have seen you smile" said Nora.

"Really?" asked Mero in confusion.

"Yes" said Nora.

"I am sure that I have smiled before" said Mero.

"No, never, you have never" said Nora as she laughed and Mero smiled at her.

"I have to take my leave now, thank you for accepting the flowers" said Mero.

"Tha… thank you for the flowers Mero, they are lovely" said Nora with a smile as he walked out of the room.

"What just happened?" asked Nora to herself as Mero left her feeling puzzled.

"My Queen, would you like me to get you anything?" asked Nora with a smile as Wura climbed into bed.

"No Nora, I am fine" said Wura with a smile.

"Alright my Queen" said Nora as she smiled.

"Nora, what is wrong? Something is bothering you" said Wura as she had noticed that there was something on her mind.

"it is nothing my Queen" said Nora.

"Stop lying to me Nora, I know you, and you are thinking about something very deeply tell me what it is, I might be able to help" said Wura as Nora sighed.

"I cannot hide anything from you can I my Queen?" asked Nora.

"You do not allow me hide anything as well, so no secrets Nora, what is bothering you?" asked Wura with a smile as Nora sighed and Wura patted on the empty spot beside her as Nora sat down.

"What is it Nora?" asked Wura.

"My Queen, something very strange happened to me today" said Nora.

"What was it Nora?" asked Wura.

"it was Sir Mero, he came to your room and at first I thought that he was looking for you, but he was not" said Nora as she explained and Wura nodded as she listened.

"And then he gave me some flowers, and I thought that they were for you, but to my surprise he told me that they were for me" said Nora as she still could not believe it.

Wura started to laugh as Nora looked at her in confusion.

"So that was what the flowers were for" said Wura as she laughed.

"My Queen you knew about it?" asked Nora in disbelief.

"Well no, not really, I did know about the flowers, but I did not know that he was going to give them to you, that is why I am laughing" said Wura as she laughed and Nora frowned as nothing made sense at all here.
