Be more careful

"Wait my Queen..." said Mero as Wura turned to look at him, but she did not look him directly in the eye as she avoided his gaze, she could tell he was angry, and she did not want to feel even worse.

"I apologize for the things that I said to you, they were not kind at all, I did not mean to be so harsh with my words, but I did, and for that I apologize" said Mero.

"It is alright Mero, I understand why you were so harsh, after all, It definitely was none of my concern in the first place, I should not have opened my mouth to speak on a matter that I know nothing about, so please accept my apology Mero, I sincerely am sorry" said Wura with a sad smile on her face that made Mero feel even worse, she looked like she was on the verge of tears.

How could he have been so insensitive, Wura was already sad enough as it was, and now he had added to her sadness by his uncontrollable rage, he really needed to fix this, he did not want Wura resorting to drinking again, and this time it would completely be his fault.

"My Queen, you had every right to speak, you were just trying to cheer me up, I on the other hand caused you to be dispirited so please forgive me" said Mero as Wura smiled sadly at him, her right ankle was killing her and she did not think that she would be able to stand for much longer, which caused her to sit back down on the wooden log to relieve her ankle for a while.

"I understand that you are trying to make me feel better Mero, but I really upset you, and that is my fault, I do not blame you at all" said Wura with a smile, she was really trying to make sure that Mero felt better, she did not blame him at all, she only blamed herself.

"I appreciate you worry for me my Queen, but I can only accept your apology if you accept mine" said Mero as Wura smiled.

"Of course I already accepted your apology Mero, you do not have to worry" said Wura as she smiled.

"Are you sure my Queen?" asked Mero as Wura smiled and nodded.

"Very believe me Mero, I understand and I do not blame you at all" said Wura as she smiled and Mero looked relieved.

"Thank you for understand my Queen" said Mero as Wura smiled and nodded as they entered into silence, if she really thought about it, she would rather be here with Mero having a minor disagreement than all alone in her room waiting to fall asleep.

Mero just kept silent, wondering if Wura would leave soon, but from the way she had already sat down, it looked like she would be staying here for a while, which caused Mero to pick up his sword and decide to continue training alone.

"Mero I have a question" said Wura as Mero looked at her.

"What is it my Queen?" asked Mero.

"How do you train alone? I mean there is no one here to spar with so what exactly are you doing?" asked Wura as she laughed and Mero smiled.

"Well I am working on my stance and pose my Queen, and as the saying goes, most of a man's battles happens in his mind" replied Mero.

"Ahh I see, so you are envisioning an opponent in your mind?" asked Wura.

"Well something like that my Queen" replied Mero as Wura nodded.

"That reminds me, were you not supposed to continue teaching me sword fighting?" asked Wura.

"Since we returned you have been very busy" replied Mero as he walked to put his sword down and he picked up the candlestick and blew out the candle, its light was not necessary, and he kept on having thoughts of Wura accidentally tipping it off and setting something on fire.

"That is true, but still no excuse" replied Wura as she watched Mero move up and down.

"You never wanted to teach me to begin with, so my newfound busyness is an opportunity for you to further dissuade me" said Wura.

"That is not true my Queen" replied Mero as he looked at her.

"Hmm right Mero, you know you cannot lie to me" said Wura as she laughed and stood up, forgetting that her ankle was sprained as she instantly regretted it with a low shout of pain.

"*Ouch*" said Wura as she hissed and Mero rushed to her.

"My Queen what is wrong?" asked Mero as Wura leaned on him for support, her ankle hurt so much right now.

"It is my ankle, I sprained it when I fell" said Wura as Mero sighed, he should have noticed that something was off with the way she had been walking.

"My Queen this is why I tell you to be more careful" said Mero.

"I know Mero, I know but I did not fall on purpose" said Wura as she hissed, the pain seemed to have increased.

"Can you walk?" asked Mero as Wura shook her head, it was a hassle to even stand properly.

Mero sighed and bent down to touch her ankle.

"Which one hurts?" asked Mero as he looked at Wura and she pointed to her right foot.

"That one" she said as Mero gently placed his hand on the area which caused Wura to hiss even more.

"How painful is it?" asked Mero.

"It hurts if I try to stand on it and walk" said Wura.

"And not when you move it?" asked Mero as Wura shook her head.

"Then it is only a minor sprain you need bedrest and to keep off from moving on his foot, I will need to call the physician to prescribe you some pain relief" said Mero as he stood up and Wura leaned on him and closed her eyes.

Her foot was aching right now, she should have not walked at all when she realized that it was sprained.

Wura opened her eyes to see Mero staring at her with a worried look on his face, she had not realized how close they were until this moment.

And Wura felt even worse when she just noticed that Mero was still shirtless, and she was just in a thin white nightgown.

Wura's heart started to beat fast in her chest, their proximity was too much for her to bear, she could smell his scent, and feel his warmth against her warmth.

Suddenly Wura's mind flashed to the highly intense kiss that they had shared and everywhere became hot, Wura found herself sweating even though it was very cold out here.

"My Queen, you are sweating severely are you alright?" asked Mero in worry as he touched Wura's forehead as her heart started to beat faster.

"I am... I am fine Mero...really" said Wura as Mero did not seem convinced.

"I need to get you in bed right now my Queen, you are turning red" said Mero as he carried her without waiting for her permission and he dashed to her room.

Wura on the other hand closed her eyes and was trying her very best to calm herself down, she did not know why she was reacting like this, why her body was reacting like this, she just felt so hot right now, and Mero's added closeness was adding to her instability.

Wura tried to think of any other thing but their kiss, but to no avail, the only thing that her mind seemed to think of was the kiss.

Wura was stuck in an internal battle of sanity and control that she did not even realize that Mero had already gotten to Liam's room and he placed her on the bed.

Mero misunderstood Wura's silence and the closing of her eyes to she was in serious unbearable pain that made him worry.

"My Queen are you feeling alright?" asked Mero as Wura closed her eyes and finally realized that she was already in bed.

"I am fine Mero, thank you for bringing me here" said Wura as she forced a smile.

"Are you sure my Queen? you do not look fine, is your sprained ankle unbearable?" asked Mero as he touched her right ankle.

"Mero I am fine really, I am just sweating because it is hot in here" replied Wura as Mero looked at her in confusion.

"Then I need to call the physician to come check on you" said Mero.

"At this time of the night? No Mero do not do that, that would just be disturbing him, I am perfectly fine now, you can call him in the morning, I assure you that I will not move my foot until he arrives in the morning" said Wura as she wanted to convince Mero to leave her.

"Are you sure my Queen?" asked Mero as Wura hurriedly nodded.

"Yes I am Mero, so you can leave now, goodnight, I will see you in the morning" said Wura.

"Alright my Queen, rest well, I will check on you in the morning" said Mero as Wura nodded and smiled as Mero hesitantly left the room.

Wura sighed a deep breath of relief as she fanned herself with her hand and tried to calm down her racing heart.

"What is wrong with you Wura??" asked Wura to herself as she sighed and shook her head, maybe today had been far too stressful for her, she wanted the night to end already.

Wura scolded herself more internally before laying her head on the pillow and closing her eyes, quickly drifting into slumber.
