Make sense

Mero did not need a scholar to tell him that Nora was furious with him, and she obviously saw him as the cause of why Wura was now bedridden, and no matter what Wura said, Nora's eyes were fixed on him and him alone.

Mero knew that from experience, when Nora was furious, she lost regard for anything and everything, if she was even very furious now, she could have gave him an angry slap, after all, she was ready to beat up Darla when she had sold Wura to the giants.

"Nora it was already late yesterday night, I knew you would be asleep, and I did not want to bother you" replied Mero calmly as Wura nodded.

"Yes I did not want you to be bothered either, it was nothing really serious" said Wura as Nora looked at her and then at Mero.

"Oh is that so now?" asked Nora as Mero nodded.

"Yes" he replied.

"But well that did not stop you when her Majesty got extremely drunk" said Nora.

"You did not waste a second, you came to call me almost immediately, so what changed now?" asked Nora as she glared at him.

It made no sense, when something less serious than this happened, Mero instantly rushed to call her, regardless of the late ungodly hour, and now, he was suddenly being too considerate, and this time the Queen had hurt herself very badly and he did not even think to call her.

All this did not make sense at all, it made Nora feel suspicious of the whole matter, like there was something both Mero and Wura were not telling her, and it made her feel left out and hurt that they were collectively hiding something.

"Nothing changed Nora" replied Mero as Nora scoffed, obviously in irritation.

Wura's eyes moved between Nora and Mero, she did not know why Nora was taking this light matter so violently to the extent of arguing with Mero?

It made no sense, Wura could sense that there was something obviously deeper here for Nora to react this way, but she could not lay her finger on it if Nora did not speak out what was truly on her mind.

"You lie Mero, I seriously do not know what happened last night, but there is obviously something that you have refused to tell me" said Nora as Mero frowned, not understanding her accusation, he could tell that she was upset, but he just did not know what she was actually upset about.

"There is nothing about what happened yesterday night that you do not know" said Mero with the sincerest look of honesty on his face which Nora refused to believe, she felt hurt right now.

"Nora, please look at me, listen to me" said Wura as her voice caused Nora to turn to look at her.

"Come over here" said Wura as she stretched out her hand to Nora who sighed and reluctantly walked to her knowing fully well that if she had not, Wura would attempt to move on her own.

"Tell me Nora, have I ever hidden anything from you in the past?" asked Wura as she held Nora's hand and Nora shook her head.

"No my Queen" replied Nora.

"Have I ever told you lies?" asked Wura as Nora shook her head.

"No my Queen" replied Nora.

"Have I ever hurt you in any way?" asked Wura as Nora shook her head.

"No my Queen" she replied.

"So believe when I tell you that what I said happened last night is what happened, there is nothing more, nothing less" said Wura.

"I was being too curious and unaware of my surroundings, and I was also being a bit of a gossip because I snuck up on Mero unintentionally" said Wura.

"I accidentally alerted him of my presence and I tried to run away before he could realize that it was me, and in that is when I tripped and fell" said Wura a she explained calmly.

"Mero is not to blame at all, if anything I am the one to blame, once he found out that I was the one that fell, he instantly began to scold me, as you did" said Wura as she smiled.

"He was just as worried about me as you are, and he was just as angry before he carried me back to my room and called for the physician to arrive early in the morning" said Wura.

"You should not be angry at Mero, if anything, you should be upset with me for causing this problem, Mero did nothing but help, I care for the both of you a lot, and I am sorry if I caused any misunderstandings or harsh feelings for the both of you" said Wura as she smiled.

"If you want to argue with someone, argue with me, and not Mero whose only wrongdoing was not to call you because he wanted you to rest" said Wura as she could tell that this was a personal issue between the two of them.

After all, Nora and Mero did nothing but spend the entire day together, and whether Nora would like to admit it or not, she had a liking for Mero, and it must have hurt her that after they spent an entire day together, he would not even think of informing her of this first.

"So I am sorry Nora, would you ever forgive me?" asked Wura with a smile as Nora sighed.

"My Queen, you should not be the one to apologize, I should be, I overreacted for nothing at all, forgive me" said Nora as Wura smiled.

"It is alright Nora" said Wura as she smiled.

"And please forgive me for accusing you Mero, you did not deserve that at all" said Nora as she looked at Mero, she felt guilty, there she was basically shouting at Mero while he remained calm and answered all her questions, she just felt so bad, she must not have woken up correctly today.

"It is alright Nora, I do not blame you at all, forgive me if I hurt you in any way by not informing you sooner" said Mero as the fact that he was even apologizing made Nora feel even worse.

"I...It is alright Mero" said Nora as she paused.

"My Queen, please excuse me while I go prepare your breakfast along with the herbs the physician recommended" said Nora as she did not even wait for Wura to reply as she hurriedly left the room and both Mero and Wura watched her leave.

"Poor Nora, she feels guilty over the way she acted" said Wura with a sigh, she felt bad, all this would not have happened if it was not for her and her stuborness.

"I will speak to her later" said Mero as he had concluded that it was not up to Wura to try to fix this, Nora was obviously upset with him and him alone, and he needed to talk to her to find out exactly why.

"Yes, you should do that..." replied Wura as she sighed.

"I am such a horrible person, all this is happening because I did not listen to you or Nora" said Wura as she covered her face in her hands.

"My Queen, you should not think like that, now is not the time to feel guilty, instead you should focus on your foot healing properly and safe recovery" said Mero as Wura nodded.

"But I cannot help it Mero" replied Wura.

"Please try to get some rest, and please I beg you, do not try to move, we all want you to recover well" said Mero.

"You do not have to worry Mero, I have learnt my lesson, I am going to listen to you, Nora and everyone else" said Wura.

"It is for the best my Queen" said Mero as Wura sighed and looked at Mero.

"I know you are very busy Mero, you can go now, and please if there is anything that needs my attention tell me so I can try to sort it out, even on bedrest, it would give me something better to do than lay in bed all day" said Wura as Mero nodded.

"You do not have to worry my Queen, I will see what I can do" said Mero as he smiled and Wura smiled at him as he left the room and Wura laid back down in bed.

"Why is it that I cause nothing but trouble wherever I am?" asked Wura in frustration as she groaned suddenly remembering the pain she was feeling in her foot.

She was about to move it when she suddenly felt another surge of pain that almost had her crying out in discomfort, if she was not feeling the pain before, she was feeling it now

Wura groaned out of pain even more, she hoped that Nora would return with those pain relieving herbs soon, she could not take the pain anymore.
