To doubt

"We should get going on our way now my Queen" said Mero as he looked up into the sky, the sun would rise soon and by that time he would have preferred that they were some distance away from the camp.

It would just be safer for them that way, just in case anyone would be following them from afar.

"You are right Mero" said Wura as she smiled and nodded as she mounted on Nolan ready to get going.

Mero also mounted his horse as he signaled that the guards at the camp's gates open the gates as they did so as Mero led the way on his horse and Wura followed after him.

As they left the camp's gates Wura could not help but to start feeling uneasy, there was just something about leaving the camp and everyone else behind that did not sit well with her.

After all this was the first time in a few months that she would leave the camp to go anywhere, she had been in the camp since this entire war started and leaving... it made her feel as if as soon as she left Olamide would strike and she would hear nothing but the great destruction that befell everyone.

Wura's eyes widened, all the bad thoughts that she had suppressed were now resurfacing and she was feeling a little bit panicky, as if she could not breathe.

In the midst of her worried thoughts Wura was detached from the outside world, but Nolan being the good horse he was continued to gently follow behind Mero as Wura started to feel a little bit overwhelmed.

She was starting to doubt and curse herself internally, what was she thinking, leaving was a bad idea?? It was a terrible idea, luckily it was not too late to turn back now, they were only a few minutes away from the camp, it would be easy to return.

She would be able to tell Mero that she no longer felt like going anywhere and he could continue on without her, but she knew that Mero would be a bit disappointed, and she was to in herself, she could not stand firm in a decision that she wanted to take.

Wura sighed deeply, she did not want to feel like this, she just suddenly started to feel bad.

Mero who initially had thought that Wura was silent maybe due to the fact that she was tired and had not gotten enough sleep last night frowned. He knew that something was not right, he could feel it.

Mero slowed down his horse as Nolan caught up with him as they rode side by side and just as he had felt, the look on Wura's face was far from happy and comforted.

"Wura are you alright?" asked Mero as he looked at Wura snapping her out of her thoughts as she turned to look at him and she frowned shaking her head.

"Mero... what if I want to go back?" asked Wura as she looked at him and sighed, she was tired, she felt as if she was making a selfish decision by leaving, and yet another part of her knew that she would be able to do more good to those affected by the war if she left.

"Why do you want to go back?" asked Mero as he did not sound accusing or angry, just rather genuinely concerned.

"Mero I just feel bad... I suddenly feel very uneasy you know... what if something bad happens while we are away?" asked Wura in concern as she looked at him.

"I doubt that would happen Wura... there are several guards and knights dedicated to protecting the camp, Elihu, Zechariah, Zuph and Luc are also there, the camp is more than secure, if anything I am more worried about what might happen while we are journeying than what will happen back at the camp" said Mero as Wura knew that he was right.

"And I know that you are aware of that, so tell me the real reason you feel uneasy" said Mero as Wura sighed, he knew that Wura was not one to just suddenly feel things that were not there, so there had to be a deeper reason why she felt the way she did.

"I do not know Mero, I think that maybe I just feel selfish, like I am not doing enough, like I do not know what I am doing, like I do not deserve to be in this position" said Wura as she sighed feeling weak and just very down at the moment.

Mero stopped his horse as Nolan stopped as well and he looked at Wura, he could not say that it was not normal for her to feel this way, but she was wrong, everything she had said was the complete opposite of what was true.

"Wura, do you want to know what I think?" asked Mero as Wura looked at him and nodded, she needed some clear reasoning right now and that was Mero.

"I think that you do deserve your title, you have worked hard to be the best and do the very best that you can with the given circumstances, and I know that you know that too" said Mero.

"It is hard to cope with everything happening around us, but I know that you can" said Mero.

"You have been through so much and you have overcome, so I am certain that you will overcome in this situation as well" said Mero as Wura felt hope when he said those words.

Mero always knew just what to say to lift her spirits and bring them down as well for that matter.

"Thank you Mero... you do not know how much I needed to hear those words" said Wura as she smiled and Mero gave her a soft smile.

"You do not need to thank me" said Mero as Wura smiled at him.

"We should get going on our way now" said Mero as Wura realized that they had stopped.

"Oh I am sorry, we are delaying our journey because of me" she said as she chuckled sheepishly.

"Not at all, there is no need to be sorry, besides, our delay gives the knights ahead of us time to make sure that there is no danger on the way" said Mero as Wura smiled.

"And there are knights behind us as well?" asked Wura as Mero nodded, it made sense, she did not expect anything less from Mero, he prioritized safety, especially her safety.

"Then we really should get going before they catch up to us" she said as she laughed and looked up at the sky in awe at what she saw.

The bright morning sun had just rose, signaling the official beginning of a new day with a new sky.

"The sunrise looks so beautiful" said Wura as she smiled and Mero turned his attention to the sky as he agreed with her.

"You are right, it does look very beautiful" said Mero.

"Almost unreal" said Wura as she laughed, she could not remember the last time she had observed the sunrise like this. Oh wait, she did... that would be back in the Yonder Realm where she would wake up very early in order to be alone with Liam and talk to him and they would watch the sunrise together.

Those were very bittersweet times and memories, on one hand she was with Liam, she found him and she had him, and on the other hand, he did not have her, did not remember her.

Seeing the sunset made her reminisce as she sighed, the sunrise was another reminder of one of the things that made her hurt on the inside.

"We should be on our way now" said Wura as she tore her gaze away from the sky and she looked at Mero who nodded as he led the way and she followed steadily behind him, prepared not to let anything else get her down today.

It was a new day and before she knew it they would have arrived at the town that needed relief.

Come to think of it... she had no idea where exactly there were going? That made Wura frown, what kind of Queen was she? She did not even know where they were going??

It had actually slipped her mind to ask Mero where exactly there were going, how silly was she?

"Mero where are we going? I just remembered now that I forgot to ask, silly me" said Wura as she laughed and shook her head as Mero looked at her and just smiled.

"That is understandable Wura... we are going to Windharm" replied Mero as Wura frowned.

"Windharm?"asked Wura in confusion as Mero nodded.

"But I know Windharm and it is not close to the border with the East at all, it has to be about three towns away from the border" said Wura as she was wondering why a town so far away would be in need of a relief aid.
