Chapter 5

I didn't know how many hours or minutes my conciousness lost but when I abruptly open my eyes because I felt something was pulling my hand.

I found myself lying on the ground. A man waking me up and when he saw me open my eyes, he left and go to the others, some are lying on the soil, there are also sitting that looks like they've waken up and there are like that man, who wakes up the others.

I can't count the people now but surely, there are more people than a while ago.

Some familiar faces. I tried to find the girl to know if she saved the child or not.

I turned my gaze around and a shadow appeared on a left near the house, enough for me not to see the face, but I am sure that this was the shadow that I'm finding.

The reason I enter the house is to find him.

There were people near him and some was abled to talk to him.

I gather up my strength and tried to put it on my feet. I staggered and fall, I'm sitting on the ground again.

I want to go near him and ask him.

I need to get out of here.

I was planning to crawl to get to his place when a white cloth swayed in the side of my eye.

I turn my gaze at it and saw a pair of eyes that is staring at us.

No!.

She's staring at me. The child is staring at me.

I think I've saw her before, her chinky eyes but I can't pinpoint where.

Her hair is in two ponytails and she's holding a teddy bear.

Chills spread through my body when a picture flashed on my mind. The second door that has a bed which a thing was placed on the middle of it, and the picture that flash on my mind show the teddy bear she was holding.

I can't turn my gaze away. She's also just staring at me. I'm afraid of... I don't know. I don't understand a thing now, everything is mixed up.

I felt the strength on my knees when I saw her tears cascading down. I walk towards her and hugged her.

I don't know where we at and how would we leave this place. But in her age and she's here. I don't think she deserves it. I think what resides in that house is death, a way of escaping is also hard to find.

I need to talk to that man to know where I can escape from here, with this child that doesn't needs this kind of place.

I tapped her back softly because her cries are silent but her shoulder are shaking. She needs to calm down.

I turn my gaze back where I saw the man but he's nowhere now. I can't see him again, or he's near me because I can't tell, I only know his shadows not his face.

"Where are you?"I ask to him which I hope he can hear while eyeing everyone, and I try to remember the shadow and what body is fit for that.

"Argg, why there's a lot of people here!"I mumbled while staring closely at everyone.

But, wait...

Every--one.

"Gosh, Niña, what are you doing?. Where's your mind?"I whisper while eyeing the people beside me. I could ask them for exit. I could ask them where I can use to be out of it. I could ask them all of them the questions that I have instead of that guy.

A man was approaching us.

"Be ready and we will enter the house"he stated before I could ask my question.

It made me stop thinking. What?!. We will enter the house again!.

But, I can't, especially now that I have someone, a child that doesn't belong here.

"Excuse me, where's the way out of here?"I ask.

Maybe this is a game. A survival or a test of courage but I can't remember joining one. If I would join, I join something that has connection to painting.

Yeah, I love painting.

"Out?"he ask confused then look at me like I'm asking an ridiculous question.

"What are you taking about?"entered by someone, a guy that also walk towards us.

"Route, how can we leave this place?"

"No one can't leave here, unless you die"he said then pulled the man still staring at me.

No!.

No, that wasn't possible, that's not true that there isn't a way out here. I know it has a way for us to leave this place.

I squatted to face the little child. My eyes abled to see her little cute eyes. It has a resemblance on something that I saw. I wiped her tears and smile at her.

"Don't worry, I will find out the way that we can use to be out of this place. I'll make sure we can leave here. Okay?. So, now, calm down and stop crying", I said then shushed her. She smile back at me.

She looked really familiar.

I stand up and hold her hand. I glanced at the people beside us. I need to protect this child.

We've waited and saw the door slowly opened.

They entered one by one. We've followed them and the hallway is lit up. The wall has a red and black color. We turn to the left and enter the only door there.

The house is changing everytime I entered.

When we successfully go to this room, where the ceiling falls. I stare at every corner especially that sofa.

I hold tightly to her hands. I can't afford to lose her.

"We'll be okay"

In the dark, someone moved.

It runs towards us, people runs and shout in the desire to escape.

I don't know why they kept on going here just to die.

But maybe, this room has a way to leave this place.

I need to find that.

As the chaos started, I scanned the whole place.

My eyes turned back at the door where we entered. I remember some creature entered there.

My eyes was solely staring at the door when I felt a tugged in my hand.

I turned my stare at the child and she's pointing at the front.

I didn't have a chance to ask her name.

I turn my gaze at where she was pointing her finger and I saw a creature running towards us.

I... suddenly can't move.

My feet stay rooted to where we placed.

It runs and as seconds goes by, it was coming nearer and nearer that I can't do something and just stare at it.

It was running towards our place. It raised it's hand, ready to attack. My eyes saw the blood that drips on the floor that was coming from the nails of the creature.

It slashed the air.

And I saw how the child accepted it and how she take her last breath.

My eyes felt painful, and my tears spree out from it.

"Why does it have to be the child?, Why don't you attack me first?, Why?!."I've said while staring at the creature that was infront of me.

I also saw the shadow in the far and looks like he's staring at me.

"What does the child do to you?"I shouted and stared at the eyes of the creature.

It was so dark and that it feels like an ocean, so deep and full of mysteries.

My heart is aching and my breath is lessening. I hardly kept my breath stable.

My breath is not enough to sustain my body.

"I just hope it was me first"I said and saw black before I felt the pain from the hand of the creature.
