Talk

"Is this your house?" She asked as they are still eating. Roaming her eyes around the area. The place has no corridors, and the two rooms on the second floor can be easily seen. The arrangements of the living, dining and kitchen are simple and have a simple theme of three consecutive colors gray, white and black. Everywhere you see here is undoubtedly manly and timidly designed. Things are neatly stationed as well as the whole place is clean!

'Does he know how to clean? Or does he usually call for a cleaner?' she thought as she was curious about him. Upon describing him, she could tell that cleaning and house chores aren't his thing and that he is a clean freak!

Although, his house reflects the owner. Dull and spiritless, like it's not a home. So lonely and empty.

He flatly nodded, "Yeah,"

It surprised her, before looking back at him. "You're living here alone? Don't you have any family?" She didn't see anyone in his house except themselves. She wonders if he has a family, or was he just living alone?

He's munching some bread while letting his elbows rest at the edge of the glass table. "I have, but I have lived separately since I was eighteen." It surprised her! It's just actually what she thought! Somehow, it tickled her curiosity. She composed herself in her chair and gave her full attention to him.

Contrary to an heir of a wealthy family who likes living alone, Hunt must be like that too. She somehow noticed it when she was in college because she also had classmates who live independently from their parents.

"Why? I mean, may I know?" She's holding her jaw with her two hands, while her elbows are just above the table. Her eyes are sparkling with curiosity while she looks so interested in his life. 'She hadn't fixed herself from a long night's sleep, and she's bare faced, yet she still appears pretty', his mind commented.

He shrugged and took his coffee cup, "It's not that interesting to reminisce, just a simple life with silence as your classmate inside the four corner room. You know, studying and going to school." The chair looks small because of his broad and lean figure, while his movements are just as good and well-mannered. She couldn't help but be observant of him.

If she was born a normy, she might as well love the life of independence. She was seeking it whenever she was so tired that she wanted to find peace to relax her mind. For some reason, she can't. Everyday and every second is gold. She can't just relax and waste a single day.

She frowned at him, "Just study? Like, no peers to hang out with?" It concerns her because he exactly looked like someone who wouldn't cage himself at a boring home. "You are a good looking man, every girl wouldn't be hesitant to approach someone like you. And like you said back at the café, I'm the only girl who broke your principles as a man. Do you mean, principles as a certified playboy?"

At this rate, he should've been mad because her tongue was so sharp and asked her insulting questions. But he didn't. Instead, "I attended a University overseas with business as my major. Most of the people outside the country are quite clingy and blunt. When they say you want to date them or wanting to be fuck by you, they actually will. It can't be of help, school is stressful." Why would he lie to her when he's obvious to predict?

"It must be fun, right?" Curiosity sucks, they say. But the truth was, she misses the old times where she only seeks fun and partying with friends which she thought was real to her. She was once rich, and enjoyed life with her parents' wealth. Therefore, who would think that in just a simple glimpse, everything that tackles their wealth will vanish?

Hunt can see the glint of sadness in her eyes, is there something that's bugging her? Or does he say something that affects her? He will not deny that he was distracted from it. "It is, perhaps girls are ridiculously stubborn. They cannot stick with the rules and has always been persistent of extending the relationship a step higher than fuck buddies." A few minutes have passed by but she's still silent, he frowns and lets out a fake cough. "Ahem."

She blinked her eyes before looking up to him, "I'm sorry, I spaced out." Honestly, she's embarrassed for her fellow females for being so low. No matter how sincere she asks about it, the fact that everyone has their own way of living makes sense. Flirting has no gender qualifications, anyone can flirt as long as they want to. Even boys can be like that and greedy as well.

Whenever we like something, we habitually become greedy and take every single chance just to get what we want. And those girls who were covetous towards him wanted him so much that no one could blame why they become desperate. So, Krizzia basically has no right to judge them. She understands them, it just can't be of help to be feeling embarrassed.

"How about you? Mind sharing with me your youth days?" He asked to cover up the uncomfortable silence. Though his voice is still the usual, emotionless. She noticed that he barely shows emotion and is always firm. if she's in his place, she would've gotten tired of limiting himself from being showy. Well, maybe it's natural to him?

"I didn't finish a degree and I was exposed to work after finishing my first year in college." After her birthday, a series of problems flocked over her shoulder that she couldn't help but cry. She was consciously ignorant because she never experienced solving one, she only knows how to cast trouble and let her parents handle the rest. Not until that day she turned eighteen, her mind had to grow as she has to be brave because her parents were helplessly injured and accused. She was the only member from her family who was left standing, she had to work and explore life in order to sustain the needs of her beloved parents. Visiting her father in person everyday with food in hand was breathtakingly tiring, but just by a glimpse of her father doing just fine is enough. While in the afternoon, she went to her mom in the hospital to look after her until dawn. Then she'll be gone to work. The salary isn't that big, so she has to learn how to save and sort their needs.

His brow furrowed, "Why is that? There were only three years left, why didn't you pursue it?" She knew that he would ask that,

"A major problem came up, and I can't tell you about it. I'm sorry." She didn't mean to be rude, she just wanted to secure her identity. If people found out that she was the Alastair from the downfall of Quinn's sovereign, no one would hire her. It's just a matter of privacy and income security. She just can't afford to bring her family to a different region just because they are tormented by many.

Hunt didn't dare to ask why and chose to understand her. Maybe, it was a serious subject that she couldn't spill easily. "Alright, let's just talk about the rules at home. Since you are my house hostess, you decide and I will listen."
