"How about you, Hunt? How many girls have you dated?" she asked as she composed the blanket better to cover her body well.
Hunt didn't expect that question from her and blinked simultaneously before answering, "I don't know, I forgot about them."
Her eyes widened, totally shocked. "That many?" Well, if he had few, he would remember, but he forgot! So, it's undeniably countless! However, what does she expect anyway? He's an impressive man with a methodological body figure, a face and a title! Many would crawl just to taste him!
Even the way he took her back then... Gosh! Why did she reminisce about that moment? It's not like he took her for real!
When he found out that she's a virgin, he automatically withdrew. Thus, he was too shocked after the insults he threw at her. Slapping him with the reality that he got her wrong all the way. Perhaps, if it's not for her mother, she wouldn't dare letting him touch her.
Hunt nodded at her, "Yeah..."
"It must be very fun to date. Especially not just once but countless!" She praised. "I've been idling about that before. I wanted to date and feel how teenage life works. I usually went to parties and danced with my so-called friends. I met many boys and jammed with them at the dancefloor, but that remained there. I'm not that insane to let anyone get me." She added as she was smiling all ears while remembering the face of those dudes she had had encounters in the D-Club's bar.
However, Hunt's mood turned sour. It's not like he's jealous, he's not just comfortable with the topic. So sudden!
He knew that kind of fun, he usually did that when he was in highschool and college. Dancing with different girls and met pleasure with them in a dimmed room after.
"Though, a certain problem occurred that I have to let go of those youth days and think mature, for my family of course." The memory of that day was still fresh to her. There's no way she could forget about it. Especially the people who threw false accusations to her father, which was clearly innocent! Then her mom got the illness due to that problem.
"How about your work at a bar, do you specifically choose it?" he asked.
Krizzia went back to the days she was searching for a job, but got rejected immediately because she didn't finish any profession, except that, she was hated by many for being the daughter of a Quinn couple. These people didn't know the truth, what they knew was her parents are the initial mastermind behind the food poisoning of a certain food launching of their manufacturers new products. Her parents told her the complete details, and it seemed like someone from their company sabotaged her parents.
"I like to dance, I can say that it's my hobby. It relieves my stress, however, I was out of choice, I lack education and I didn't finish my course, so I accepted that job even if I was hesitant." She replied and pursued a sly smile after. She can still see herself from years ago who wouldn't want to show skin in front of many. The times that she cried because every boys adored her in a sensual manner. It cringe her. Sometimes, men flocked her and harm her, it was just good that her manager was always there for her whenever she gets involved to that kind of trouble.
She could also remember the days that she cried, wherein the moments she doesn't know how to solve her problems. It was such a challege for her, but she didn't give up. She has to live, it's not like the problems would be solve if she will cry all day.
Hunt felt sorry for her, he didn't know that Krizzia went to that kind of life hurdles. Then, he looked back at the time where he mock her, insult her and name her anything unpleasant. It was so shameless of him to add problems in her plate, when she had tons already.
"How about the life that you went through? Was it amazing as well?" she asked.
Hunt don't see any amazing with his life, "I can't pinpoint. But I guess my life was pretty normal."
She frowned, "If you were to ask me, I would definitely answer you grateful." Why? If they hadn't lost the wealth they had before, she wouldn't appreciate life.
"Why?"
"You know, my problem is money. If I had money, I might as well comfortable with life. My mom won't reach the stage of her sickness right now, I might as well put action to ask every skillful doctors around the globe to threat my mom from her illness." She also felt regret for not being advance minded. If she also knew that their situation would flip, she might have filed savings from the bank and save money in advance. However, fun was the only thing that she prior before. She was young and naive, but a pain in her parent's head. "And I wouldn't have sell my body to you, that night..." She added but her voice was low and regretful.
"I'm sorry, Krizzia... I don't know what to say rather than apologizing to you..." Hunt felt the same way. After knowing her life, he couldn't bring himself to hurt her again. He hope so.
She shook her head, "Nah-uh, just treat me better and I would be fine." Unexpectedly, she yawned. "I'm sleepy, let's go to sleep." She declared and put her pillow between them. "Let's part each other with the pillows. I don't think I could let myself get close to your body in bed just yet." It's better to be honest, than to be awkward. Better for him to know about her worries than keeping it to herself, while he remained confused over it.
"Okay, let's do that." then he also put his pillow along her pillow.
"Goodnight, Hunt." She greeted him to sleep.
"Same goes with you, Krizzia. Goodnight." Sooner, the two of them drawned to the depths of their dreams.
Morning came, the two of them didn't notice that they are actually hugging each other and the pillows are on the edge of the bed near their feet.
Hunt was the first one to wake up, and noticed Krizzia hugging him tight. It startled him and almost jumped off the bed. His heartbeat went rapid as he noticed her beautiful sleeping manners.
How could he able to distract a beauty in her peaceful rest?
Later on, he went back to sleep. "Ahhh!!!" He woke up when she screamed. His eyes were sticky, he was about to squeeze his eyes when she pushed him. He rolled off the bed and thud!
He fell.
