Chapter 2 13

"Are you sure you don't want to go to Elemental Academy" "Yea I'm sure, life right now is just too much fun" "Okay we wish you the best of luck in your future" "Thank you" I said walking out of the principal's office It's been about a month since I found out I was an Elemental and since I'm turning 13 tomorrow. I finally had to answer the question, do you want to go to Elemental academy which of course I answered no. My parents and Gerard both got over the fact that I didn't want to go to the Elemental Academy, life was exactly how I wanted it to be, it was fun. I walked home by myself because Gerard wasn't in school when I arrived home I was greeted by everyone and then I hung out with my little brother he decided the game today and he chose hide and seek so we played hide and seek since he was only six he wasn't the best hider and I found him relatively easily but I always acted like he was impossible to find because it was fun seeing him jump out all excited thinking he fooled me and that he was the God of hide and seek. "Cache, Lucky dinner" My Mom screamed up stairs Cache quickly jumped out of he's hiding spot and ran downstairs I followed behind at a much slower pace since I was walking when I got downstairs everyone was already sitting down ready to eat I sat down and my Mom brought out the food and we ate. "Luck was Gerard at school today?" my Dad asked me "No he wasn't I'm pretty sure he called in sick" "Oh really I couldn't get hold of his parents so I didn't know" "What do you mean couldn't get a hold of them" "I went over to there house today to drop something Gerard left over here yesterday but they didn't answer so I just left in the mailbox" "Maybe they were out doing something?" "Ya maybe" "Daddy me and Lucky were playing hide and seek today" "Oh really who won" "Me!" "That's my boy!" "He didn't even beat me once!" That comment pissed me off just a little though not enough for me to be actually mad at him I mean he is six. After we all finished dinner we decided to play old maid before me and Cache went to bed starting the game of I luckily didn't have the joker it was pretty obvious who did though, my Dad did it looked like he didn't even bother to hide it I didn't tell him though my Mom noticed he had it too so me and her were pretty much guaranteed to do well after my dad took from my brother I put my hands over some of his cards and pretty much found the joker right away after that so I just took a different card and kept on doing that for a while. Then my brother finished first some how I guess he got really lucky but me and my mom were almost done so it was pretty much guaranteed my dad was lose i found the joker and took a different card and... it was the joker he played me I tried my best to keep my surprise hidden than showed my mom the back sides of my cards she took the one that wasn't the joker luckily but she didn't get a match my dad took from here and screamed "Match I'm done" so now it was just me and mom and it was her turn to take from me I had two cards she had one so it was pretty obvious who had the joker I decided I should try and use some tricks to make her doubt herself when she put her hand above the joker I said "I wouldn't take that one if I was you" she hesitated for a second then took... the other card I lost she won blah blah blah so now what do I have to do take out the garbage cause that was the punishment "fuck old maid" I muttered under my breath while I was taking out the garbage while I was about to but it in a pal I saw someone out of the corner of my eye it wasn't someone I knew well I couldn't tell if it was he was wearing a hood over his head yet you could still see his blond hair but you couldn't see his face He looked like a man my his body type though then he started walking my way instead of running inside or confronting him I just froze I don't know why but I felt like if I ran or confronted him things wouldn't go well so I just froze. When he was far enough away I quickly ran inside grabbed my water and acted like nothing happened outside since it didn't look like he was looking at me or anything after grabbing my water and saying goodnight to my parents I went upstairs and went to sleep "I'm gonna be 13 tomorrow I was pretty excited I quickly fell asleep somehow and had a weird dream in the dream everything was just a shady gray like the nights clouds. That's all the dream was a dream where everything was grey it was pretty weird but not enough to worry about. When I woke up I expected to be greeted with a " Happy Birthday!" by my family, I wasn't though I just woke up and did the same thing I did everyday like today wasn't out of the ordinary at all. When I walked outside Gerard wasn't there which meant he wasn't going to school again or he was late it was most likely the first option since he was out yesterday. I hope he gets better soon so we can spend my birthday party together since it will be my last one since I'm gonna be a grown up from then on, I won't cry anymore either. School went by quickly even though Gerard wasn't there I didn't rush home just in case my family didn't fully set up yet after the long walk home I opened the door and the lights were they were probably gonna jump out in 3...2...1...nothing happened they didn't jump out it was just silent "Hello?" no response I stepped inside and heard a loud CRACK and saw a piece of wood fall in front of me it looked like it was broken then I felt some liquid falling down my neck I tapped and looked at what it was...it was blood? "Huh my head hurts" *THUD
