Evolved Ancient Ogre of Chaos

His eyes were full of curiosity and malice as the little mortal appeared as if out of thin air. What a clever trick, thought the ogre to himself. He wondered what other surprise the mortal would bring, but he soon got his answer, anger flaring in his eyes as the mortals full shape appeared revealing an armor he hadn't seen in millennia. The armor of ancient mortal whom had almost been his death.

"Mortal," the voice of the ogre reverberated through the forest. "So you have decided to reveal yourself, and what a sight to be hold. You can't hold a candle to the immense power of the last mortal to wear that accursed armor. God of Death indeed!"

The Evolved Ancient Ogre of Chaos laughed uncontrollably, slapping his knee so hard that the force of it knocked down a nearby tree. After a few more minutes of earth shaking laughter he finally composed himself. Eyeing the adventurer up and down for a few moments he smiled evilly and gestured for him to come closer. He watched as the adventurer took a few slow steps forward, the mortal seemed to be ever cautious. This only added to him amusement. Had it not been for the death of a Guardian he would not have come to the mortal plane in the first place. He had only wanted to see and speak with the fool who dare kill a Guardian. But this particular fool irritated him, that damned armor and his weapons made him dangerous. And G'Nek didn't like to feel threatened.

He pushed his ire away. If the little mortal felt cornered it may mean his end. Weakling or not, his equipment was still quite powerful, and that meant his situation could still be dangerous. He inhaled deeply through his nose, taking in the scent of the little mortal, capturing it in his memory. The memory of a God was long, and G'Nek himself had lost not one of them.

"Little Mortal, you have offended the gods of this realm, by not only invading our lands, but by killing one of our own! For that you will die!" G'Nek growled. "Give me three good reasons not to kill you where you stand and I may leave you to fight another day!"

Though the words came from his mouth, his heart was not in the mood to kill at the moment. He had just wanted to continue terrorizing this mortal by playing with his mind. That should ease his frustrations for the time being.

-------

Fear turned into terror, which by some odd twist of fate turned into peace. The fear was long gone, and his mind clear. This was a game! No matter how realistic, this was only a game. This "thing" could only kill his avatar, but not him. He had to admit though, this felt real as real can be. But, at the same time, Sil didn't like to lose. He decided to keep up the fear routine until he had a moment to strike and retreat, making his escape in the process.

"Overlord, main god of this realm, I apologize for displeasing you, but it was kill or be killed and I simply wasn't ready to die," he said with a solemn face, and very slowly, very carefully, took another two steps forward.

Keeping up the appearance of true terror was quite the challenge. He felt a strong urge to attack, but held back. He needed to wait for the right moment to strike. And he needed some kind of a plan. A fun thought played out in the back of his mind.

"Then in attempt to appease the ire of the gods, shall we play a game?". A twinkle passed through Sil's eyes as he asked the ogre the question. His body still, all semblance of fear had vanished from him, and it showed. He smirked cunningly.

-------

G'Nek was taken aback for a moment. This mortal wasn't scared, if anything he was intelligent, cunning, devious, and bold. He roared with delight. He would take great pleasure in crushing the life force out of this little mortal.

"You dare ask a god to play a game?! He demanded loudly. "Puny mortal, I will crush you! What makes you think you can challenge the gods themselves?? You will pay for your arrogance!"

With four large strides he stood in front of Sil and stared down at him, taking his time before killing him. Though he didn't show it physically, anger seethes from every pore on G'Nek's body.

-------

Sil was waiting for this, he stepped sideways into the shadow of a tree and activated Shadow Meld. The moment his body disappeared Spirit of the Forest activated and a new status symbol appeared on his screen. Focusing on it, the description of "True Invisibility" appeared. True Invisibility? Sil thought to himself. I wonder how that works exactly.

He needed to move and move now. There wasn't a moment to waste. He darted across the forest floor, towards a large boulder opposite of the ogre. He quickly leapt his way up the the large rock to the top and prepared himself.

The orge was visibly enraged now, having lost his prey. He growled and stomped, roared and thrashed. This so called god looked more like a toddler who had gotten his favorite toy taken away. Sil laughed internally at the thought, not daring to make an actual noise.

The ogre was now making his way towards the boulder, still sniffing the air and searching the ground with his eyes. Sil jumped back and kicked off of a tree pushing himself high into the air and landing gracefully on high tree branch overlooking the newly formed clearing. Breathing deeply he activated Assassin's Mark, the mark appearing on the left eye of the ogre. The ogre twitched as if feeling something, grunted and continued angrily searching for his prey. It was now or never, Sil thought to himself

Sil activated Flash Strike, sending him flying downwards at incredible speeds. His runed blade at ready, he deactivated the flash strike at the last second reappearing, drawing the ogre's attention. Too little, too late. Sil activated Deadly Strike and landed it right down the ogre's face and into it's eye. Pulling it out he dove to the ground and rolled away, his eyes never leaving the enemy.

The ogre grabbed angrily at his eye as he howled in pain, dark purplish blood oozing from between his fingers. His good eye moved wildly and finally rest on Sil. The last thing Sil saw was a giant footing rushing at impossible speeds towards his body. There was no time to dodge as Sil closed his eyes, his heart beating wildly as he was finally facing death after all these years.
