Facility

"Heya guys, for those of you who don't know I'm Grant Brook, I'm glad to see ya guys made it here safely, I'm excited to teach you about my job and about being a Mobster for the B.M.A and things we Mobsters do to fight against Mobs."

The man had all the student's in a frenzy to enter the Military Facility.

"We are all thrilled, but we need to go over some rules. It's sad that I have to go over all this when I'm not teaching a bunch of kids." The teacher huffed before listing the rules and took attendance, succeeding in killing their excitement.

Every student was given an access card to wear around their neck.

This process lasted approximately thirty minutes which felt like hours in the grueling sun.

"Great! Now we can all get going!" Grant led the students into the facility.

"You may all not know this, but before the B.M.A there was a Military, which in short were armed forces which were organized to protect the country" Grant explained. "After the Eve of Chaos, the name was changed to the Bureau of Mob Annihilation, this was done to show that our intent was in the name.

The B.M.A Office in our Sheltered town is one of many. The Head of the B.M.A is in a sheltered Nation of Guram. After the Eve of Chaos, the world was forced to change and forget about countries, all that is left are what is behind these walls that protect cities, towns, and nations"

"Sir, so how far is Guram?"

"Don't get any ideas of escaping there. It's near impossible, Guram is roughly 9,000km from where we are. Now I'm no math genius, but that's hardly close by extreme means.

The closest Sheltered area is Sheltered Town Rem to the East" Grant was well informed and spoke kindly, unlike his unfortunate son Russel, thought Junya.

Listening to Grant, Junya had a question, "Since they are so far away, how do people travel there? What if we needed backup, how would they come?"

"Hmm, you ask good questions, but those only come when you're a Mobster" Grant vaguely addressed with a faint smile on his face.

Junya never liked the man because of his son, so seeing him smile made him feel sick.

"Finally, we are here!" Grant exclaimed while pushing open two large doors with a flick of his wrist. The door made a loud noise as it made a ninety-degree spin to slam right open.

As the doors opened light flashed brightly but their eyes soon adjusted and they were able to see.

As the doors gaped open a bright light fell upon them, allowing for time to adjust their eyes before they could see what lay before them.

Swords, Katana's, Maces, Hammers, Armor— the room was filled with a variety of weapons of different sizes and designs. They were all stored behind a thick glass box.

Light shone from above them reflecting their beauty. The polished metal blades shone and gleamed regardless of their angle. Everyone gasped looking at the abundance of weapons that probably cost hundreds of thousands of Rels, which was vastly larger than the income of the Sheltered town.

Grant stood in the middle of the hall and spread his arms as if saying 'Feast your eyes'.

"Everyone, this is the weapons room for the Military. The weapons here have been sent from Sheltered nations to aid us in protecting the town. It's crucial for every sheltered area to defend against attacks from the Mobs. If we were to lose that means that humans have an incredibly hard time retaking the planet"

He took his hands and placed them on his chest.

"There are other things that have been leaked, like valuable information and technology which the Mobs have been getting better at deciphering. That's why we have to play our part in a bigger fight. Never think that because we are a small town, it doesn't matter if we win or lose. Every fight that you find yourself in matters. We have to be careful and prepared. Our strength isn't determined by our size"

The students all looked at him in a sudden understanding.

"You should never undermine the battles of a small sheltered town because the fights in every small town affect the fate of humanity.

If all the sheltered towns got taken over, who would be left?"

Junya was annoyed at his sensibleness and admired his knowledge.

'Maybe if I talk to him about Russel he will understand' Junya thought.

Students barraged him with questions over the next few minutes. After he gave them all a satisfactory answer, he turned around.

"Follow me, before we go outside, there is something you all should see." He walked toward the end of the hall that had the exits. Though he never went toward them, he turned toward a Black metal cabinet that was situated precariously between both doors.

It had many locks on the front and a sign that said 'Military personnel only'. This was enough to peak everyone's questions. They simply watched Grant.

He punched in a series of numbers on five different locks, along with a retina scan and fingerprint.

Dwooosh

The doors opened with a faint click followed by a loud noise. The cabinet door was large, but Grant opened it easily.

It opened and my eyes instantly locked on what was inside. It was a samurai sword that was displayed behind glass, it was sitting on a display without its sheath.

It had script along its visible side that shone brightly. It was captivating to look at, and the katana exuded a powerful aura. Upon closer inspection it appeared as if something was moving inside it independently, like lava.

"Who can tell me what this is?" Grant asked the captivated group.

"An Encrypted weapon." From the back, Russel was able to answer while everyone else was silent.

Junya scoffed because he knew the answer, but it was his first time seeing one.

Calmly, Grant nodded, "This is a D Rank encrypted weapon. It was made by a weapons inscriber from a Sheltered City and gifted to us. This is the only one in the city, but because we have eyes in the sky, we know when a Mob will come and reach the precise location. As the strongest Mobster, I have the privilege to use this without permission from higher-ups"

He started closing the cabinet door after everyone had a good enough look. "This will only get taken out if it needs to. Unfortunately, not today"

The disappointed signs of every one were audible.

Many more questions were thrown toward Grant, and he answered and explained them in detail. After he elaborated some more they travelled between differing rooms.

Communications, Archery, Combat exercises, and Training hall. It was only half the facilities there, but they were not allowed in each one, they would only expound on the use of each facility without going any further.

Finally, they were coming up to the end of the trip. They were all being led along a long corridor of the medical bay.

"This will be the last place we go so make sure you don't want to pee while you see it"
