"Promise me, then. To not disappear from my sight one more time."
Ariel raised her right little finger high in the air along with her words. His little heart was still filled with anxiety, worrying about losing his big brother for the third time. It was enough that his older brother had disappeared two years ago--and also a few days ago after telling him and Indra the truth about the origins of enchanters.
He didn't want to lose his older brother. Is it that hard to want?
["Mama! No, Mama!"]
Ariel's eyes closed instantly as fragments of memories she didn't recognize popped up in her mind. In his mind, he screamed for his late mother who decided to run to meet a figure he didn't recognize.
What was that memory, Ariel asked herself, trying her best to push it from her mind.
"I can not promise."
