Chapter 24

I immediately shook my head, trying to get as much memory out of what happened when Beth and I were in my room as I could. Even just remembering it was more than enough for me to bring back the pain in my body that had lessened after receiving all the punches she threw at me repeatedly earlier.

Sighing softly, I folded my arms on the balcony railing of my room while my gaze was fixed on the night sky of Eutimia, which seemed full of stars scattered in the sky, along with the full moon that adorned the night sky, further perfecting the sky where I lived all this time. I closed my eyes while my nose enjoyed the cold air in my city, which felt cool to me, as I had been staying in my room all day thanks to a fever that I didn't even realize I had all day until Beth told me when I woke up earlier.
