Julia's POV

Julia looks at her capos and handing them the knife. Enzo inspects the knife and took a deep breath. "It's belongs to Triad, boss." Julia raised of her eyebrow.

She took a glance in the hallway and she saw her wife was walking, while she dried her hair with a towel. "Julia? We have a guest?" Julia looks at Enzo.

"They are about to leave, babe." Enzo put the knife inside the wooden box and he stood up. Julia followed Enzo to the door, and she gave him an envelope. "Don't tell Cecilia about it, yet. I'm not sure if he wants to kill me," Julia lower her tone, so Cecilia can't hear.

Julia petting Max's head as Enzo smiled at her dog, "your dog in pain," Julia nods.

"I know." Julia smiled at Max, while she petting his head, "and searching for hospitals nearby with bites wound, Max hasn't gotten his vaccine. Worst, he will get rabies if he didn't get treat from the professionals." Enzo nods and he leaves the room.

Julia closed the door and approached her wife. Cecilia put her towel inside the basket. "That's quick," Julia whistling, and Max walking approached her. She kneels to wear Max on a leash.

"I called Enzo and Matthew to come because... the burglar earlier. I'm afraid that this place is not safe anymore. Beside of that, your Nonna lives here, and Mariano will come back again, right? W-what if this place was not safe anymore?" Cecilia falls to Julia's lie, but she is right. Since COVID-19, criminal-act increasing.

Since the pandemic attacked the world, everything was different. Job vacancy was decreasing because of restriction and new regulation from the government. Because of that, competitors increasing, criminal-act increasing, riots everywhere, and many more.

"You… have a point," she said. Julia relief that her position was safe for now.

Julia pulled the leash and grabbed and walked to the outside the room and she gave Cecilia the leash.

"I will guide you from behind, okay?" Cecilia grip the leashed. Max barked and wiggling his tail.

"J-Julia…" Julia kissed Cecilia's forehead and stroked her hair. She smiled.

"Easy Max," Max walking slowly and guiding Cecilia to the stair.

They walked to the hallway, and Max began to barks and jumping to one of the tenant. "Bark! Bark!" Cecilia tries her best to hold Max's leashed.

Julia pushed the man on the wall and showed her fake badge. The man gulped and his face stared became pale. "I'm sorry for the inconvenience," she said. Julia frisk him and she found her product inside his pocket. Julia sighed and returned his stuff and pushed him. Max stopped barking and jump. Julia looks at her wife and takes over the leash.

Cecilia can hear a whisper, but she couldn't hear what about her wife said to the person. "Julia?" Julia patted his shoulder and squeezed his shoulder.

Julia glared at the man. "I'm sorry sir," he rushed to his room. Julia took a deep breath and approached Cecilia. "Are you alright?" Julia reassuring her wife.

Cecilia circling her arms around Julia's waist and she can feel her body was trembling. Julia rubbed her back, and she kissed her forehead. "Everything it's fine. I'm here on your side now." Julia grabbed Max and he tilt his head.

"It will be more easy for you to get to know her, okay?" Max barked. He may be a smart Golden Retriever, but still he stills a puppy.

Max barked to Julia and she piggy back Cecilia and carrying her white can. "Hold tight, okay?" Cecilia furrowed her brow. "What the…" before she can finish her words, Julia runs as fast as she can to the parking lot.

Julia looking at Max as he hunched on the backseat of her car. Takeshi forced him to wearing a cone for a week because he already got his first Parvovirus vaccine.

"Max, you look handsome with your cone, haha…" Max looks at Cecilia and looks at her with his puppy eyes.

"Julia, what we should do next?" Julia looking at Max's vaccine card, and took a deep breath. "We should take another vaccine next month," Julia gave the vaccine card to Cecilia.

"What's wrong?" Julia starts the engine and drives to the dog park. Julia took a U-turn.

"You know contagious virus H3N8 and H3N2? It's called Canine Influenza," Julia took a glance at her, "if we touching the infectious dog Max will infected." Cecilia hummed.

"I want to guessing what major you took at Havard," Julia chuckles.

"Tell me," she challenging her.

"A vet?" Julia step on the brake and looking at her as she raised her eyebrow.

"Seriously?" Cecilia nods. Julia exhale and shook her head, "no, I'm not a vet." Julia step on the gas.

Cecilia hummed. "You a nurse?" Julia laughed. "Don't you dare to give me a hint!" Julia took a glance.

"Okay-okay…" Julia cleared her throat. She took a U-turn again and turned left. "Show your power, babe. I know you can do it." Cecilia holds Julia's arm.

"Tell me your birthday, and you will get the result," Cecilia said as she looks at her.

Julia pulled over at the slumber area she visit the other day and turned off the engine. "January, 17th 1996. What about you?" Cecilia leaned her head on Julia's shoulder.

"July, 9th 1996. I don't know that you were Capricorn." Julia raised her eyebrow.

She looks at Cecilia. "What is your guess?" Cecilia closed her eyes.

"A business?" Julia nods and she pecked her wife's lips.

"Yes, I went to Havard for studying business," She holds Cecilia's hand. "I wanna show you something." Cecilia furrowed her brow. Julia put leashed on Max and he barked at her.

"Slowdown, Max." Max stretched his muscle and he bark again. Julia gets out of her car and opened the door for her wife and dog. "Come on, Max." Max jumped down and Julia holds the leash.

"Easy, Max." Julia gives her dog a treat. Julia and Cecilia leaned their back in the car.

Cecilia holds Julia's hand tight, and she furrowed her brow. Max barked to a pedestrian, who walked to the side of the road.

"Where were we?" Cecilia asked to her wife. She can smell rotten food mixed with strong liquors and sweat.

"The la cosa notra's place for tonight." Cecilia furrowed her brow.

"There's something special connected to you, somehow." Julia chuckles because her wife guesses it right.

"No wonder they called you beautiful medium," Cecilia slapped her wife's arm. Julia pecked her cheek, and Cecilia slapped her shoulder.

Julia took a deep breath and holds her hand. "Let's go!" The three of them walked together to explore the slumber area.
