Chapter 42: The Visit (Part 1)

Julia's POV

She put her plate in the sink and let Cecilia clean the dirty dishes. "Do you have la cosa Nostra, right?" Julia shook her head and brushed Cecilia's hair.

"I'll be here and help you practice braille," Cecilia took a deep breath, and she leans her head on Julia's chest. Julia circling her arm and pulled her closer.

"I was thinking of buying a house at Beverly Hills, but you said it's not your dream anymore. So, what's your dream right now?" Cecilia took a glance at her.

She put the plate on the rack. "I want to be with you," Julia chuckles. She lean her back on the countertop and took a deep breath.

"I mean, like… you always wanted to happen." Cecilia put the plate next to Julia.

"Can you wipe it for me?" Julia does as her wife told. She took a glance at her. She kissed Julia's cheek and poke her with her elbow. Julia responds the same as her.

She pokes Cecilia with her elbow and ending up tickling her waist. "Julia... haha... stop it!" Julia giggling, then smiles. She never felt like this before. They both have unique background, appearance, and thoughts. They have each other back, but will it last longer? Both Cecilia and Julia didn't know what will they would face tomorrow.

Julia put the last plate on the rack, and she took a deep breath. She looks at her surrounding and guide Cecilia to the living room where she helps her wife to practice braille.

She sat in front of her and took a deep breath. "Okay, what if we have a deal?" Cecilia furrowed her brow. "If you can guess it right, you will get 1 point, but if you were wrong, you'll get nothing. You can exchange your point into reward." A smirk drawn from Cecilia's face.

"What is the reward?" Cecilia asked.

Julia rubbed her jaw. "Um…" Cecilia waits for her to continue, "what if…" Julia put her phone on the side of the table and stared into her eyes. Julia took a deep breath and exhale. "First reward, with 10 points worth, we dating at a fancy restaurant. Second, with 5 points worth, we picnic on the rooftop with Max, and 3 points worth. I will bring you to…" The conversation interrupts by a sound of the phone ringing,

Julia picked her phone, and she sighed. She put back, but Cecilia holds her hand. "Pick up the phone," she glares at her wife. Julia gulped. She looks at her wife, then picked the phone on behalf of her wife and activate the speakers.

"He-hello?" Julia can heard an automatic message informed her that her dad was trying to call her. "Y-yes…" she glancing at her wife and wiped her sweat. She cursing her dad inside her mind.

She can hear a sound of riot inside the prison. "Hello!? Julia!?" Julia's hand was shaky as her dad called her name. Julia took a deep breath.

"Y-yeah?" Julia took a glance at her wife. Julia feels something off and she is looking at Cecilia.

Cecilia grabbed her wife's hand. "What's wrong?" Julia shrugged her shoulders and called the number again, but to no avail. She can't reach her dad by the same number the way he reached her.

"I-I can hear a riot in the background, but I don't know exactly what happened," Julia called her insider and holding Cecilia's hand. She groans because of her insider not picked her phone.

"Le-let's we watched the news, okay? M-maybe a journalist can give us some info." Cecilia rubbed her arm. She's right, journalist can give her information about what happened. Julia picked the remote, and she turned on the tv and changed the channel.

There was no luck when she changed the channel. She groan in frustration and she walked to the corner of the room. Julia took a deep breath and sighed. Cecilia approached her and tapped her shoulder.

Cecilia's POV

"I-I don't know…" Cecilia pet her head and smiled her wife. Cecilia shook her head to get rid of her negative thoughts about her father-in-law. She took a deep breath, and they sat on the couch.

"Calm down," she continued, "your dad will be okay, Julia." Cecilia holds her hand and smiled. Julia might hate her dad, but she wants her dad's safety. Cecilia can feel Julia's breath fastened and coughed. Cecilia strolled her way to the sink.

Julia stood up and approached her wife. "Do you need help?" Julia picked the glass and gave it to her.

Cecilia filled the glass with tap water and gave it to Julia. "Everything will be okay, Julia," she said.

Julia took a deep breath and embracing her and cried on her shoulder. "I don't know." Cecilia strokes her hair and embraces her. Cecilia stroked her hair. She didn't know her wife was so fragile. Julia could be a mafioso, but she is a human. Inside the barrier, she's an innocent woman who needs love.

She wants to make her calm, but would she don't mind? Cecilia shook her head to get rid of a negative thought about her. Julia let her lose their embrace and wiped her tears. "I-I'm sorry…" Cecilia giggling and helping her to wipe her tears.

"I-it's okay to cry, Julia." Julia turned the faucet and washing her face. She can hear her sobbing. Max barking at the door.

Julia wiped her hand and face, then looking at Cecilia, "let me opened the door for you, okay?" Cecilia holds her hand. Julia furrowed her brow.

Cecilia circling her arms around her waist and leans her head on her shoulder. "No, let's we open it together, babe. I don't know it's from the police officer or your capos to deliver you news." Cecilia holds her hand tight. "Just stay with me forever." Julia wiped her tears and took a deep breath.

They walking to the door and stared at the doorknob. She touched the handle and took a deep breath. Max's barking at her and sits. He puts his paw on her feet and baring at her. Julia took a deep breath and starts opened the door.
