Writings From Secret Civilization

Not long after, the aircraft safely landed at the Williams Research Center. A robotic stretcher was already waiting in the landing area after Allen requested one.

Riku carried Kendra out of the aircraft and put her down on the stretcher. The robot quickly moved and brought Kendra to the Security Checkpoint Zone to run a security scan to get clearance and enter the facility. However, after the complete scan, Kendra was denied.

"What's wrong with Kendra?" Riku asked Allen.

"Let's find out."

Allen and Riku completed the security scan and received the clearance immediately. Since Kendra was denied, Allen suspected something. Kendra could not enter the facility until it did not clear out the threat within her. Usually the case, the security system detects malicious technology planted on a person's body, such as a tracking device.

With long strides, Allen marched to the monitoring room; following behind him was Riku. He has to confirm if his guess was correct.

In the monitoring room, it was Randy Lao and Doctor Kenny Ryan who personally handled the security inspection, even though there were several facility security personnel present in the room.

"What's going on?"

Allen queried the moment the door opened.

"Kendra has a tracking device inside her body. Our system did not acknowledge it, so it will treat Kendra as an enemy breaching the facility if we allow her to enter without the clearance." Kenny Ryan explained.

"We must disable this tracking device, Allen." Randy Lao echoed. "I'm certain that Uncle Derek placed the tracker on his daughter."

"Well, it looks like that's the only solution we have." Allen agreed. He added, "Otherwise, the security system would activate the Red Alert alarm, then the automobile facility police commence a pursuit, and Kendra would be in danger."

"So? What kind of tracking device does Kendra have? Did you locate it already?" Riku, whose silent on the side, leaning on the wall, suddenly spoke.

Randy glanced at him and replied, "The tracker was planted on her teeth, and this device can cover several miles. It can also record and transmit vastly because of its nanotech structure."

Randy paused and shifted his gaze toward Allen. "You know what I am trying to explain."

Of course, Allen knew very well. Whoever had access to the tracker could operate it as a spy device for everyone Kendra talked to, including any conversation around her.

This device has a high frequency in capturing any wavelength. In that case, it is easy to eavesdrop on whatever is crucial discussion inside the facility, as long as it can cover the distance through Kendra.

"Randy, can you disable it? Perhaps destroy the device without pulling Kendra's teeth?"

"I tried already, but I could not decode Uncle Derek's program. I'm afraid that our only choice is to pull it out and destroy it manually. How about discussing this with Kendra to ask her permission?"

"Or replace the tracking device with a Crow Tech software?" Riku suggested.

"I'm thinking that too." Randy concurs. "We still have to ensure Kendra's safety to track her down if something happens in the future."

"It's a good plan, indeed. Besides, I believe Kendra is keeping a secret that will help me in the future. And this secret, whatever it is, Howard will be interested too." Allen decided. "I will talk to Kendra and let her know what we came up with."

After the keen discussion with his trusted men, Allen went back to the security checkpoint zone and spoke with Kendra. He explains the situation. Kendra did not object nor hesitate; instead, she supported the plan.

"I don't care! Pull it out if necessary! I don't want dad to continue to track me down!"

With Kendra's approval, Kenny performed an immediate operation. After pulling out her tooth, Randy took the device and destroyed it.

Kendra finally received the clearance to enter the facility. The robotic stretcher brought her to the VIP ward. A human medical attendant and a robotic nurse are helping Kendra settle down in her room.

"Miel, prepare a bath for our guest."

[What are you saying, Doctor Kang? She is a patient.]

Kendra frowned, listening to the robot do a correction on her human medical attendant. She is indeed a patient since she wanted Allen to treat her blindness. Perhaps Allen could also find a way to restore her voice, too. The natural voice that she had and not the robotic one sounded every time she spoke.

"All right. I badly wanted to get a bath." Kendra meddled before the

bickering continued between the female human doctor and the nurse robot assigned to her.

"You heard that, Miel?" The doctor crossed her arms and looked at the robot smugly. Even though Miel the Robot wanted to protest, he moved his ass toward the bathroom, mumbling.

"I can't believe Randy built this robot in his image! Even the behavior is similar to his! Is he bullying me to assign this robot to assist you together?" The medical attendant blurted out once the robot entered the bathroom.

[I heard that, Doctor Kang!]

The bathroom door opened once again, and the robot peeped out.

"That! It was so like him! So, nosy!"

Kendra, who could not see but could sense her surroundings, giggled, listening to the bickering between her female medical attendant and the nurse robot.

The female doctor coughed and changed her temperament into her professional mode after seeing that Kendra was a lot more comfortable now.

"Hello, Miss Kendra. My name is Doctor Sarah Kang. You can call me Sarah."

"Sarah Kang?" Kendra tried to search in her memory bank for where she had met Sarah before.

"Your name sounds familiar."

"Well, if you remember me, I am the daughter of Jason Kang, CEO of UKG Builders."

"Oh, that's it! Our parents are good friends... But…"

"Used to be, yeah." Sarah corrected her.

"Until my dad cut ties with Uncle Shun," Kendra uttered apologetically. She lowered her head as she felt embarrassed because her dad played a big part in that family war.

They called it a family affair because the world did not know what was happening. But in the entire billionaire circle and among Alliance members, everyone was aware of a huge dispute and competition between the Williams and Davies family: the most wealthy families in the world.

"Well, it was an adults' issue." Sarah mouthed casually. "Don't worry. I would not hold a grudge or side with anyone. I still share a wonderful friendship with Lavender and Hilary. Besides, Allen told me you are merely the victim, too."

With what Sarah said, Kendra was relieved. She was worried that Sarah would treat her sourly because her dad betrayed the Alliance.

"Thank you, Sarah. To be honest, I'm afraid that you would blame me for my dad's involvement that happened in the past. Actually, dad is also cruel to me. Even if he explained it was for my own good, still, I would rather fight than become a burden. And when dad admitted it, a hellish feeling to hear from his very mouth of what he did to me."

"I'm sorry to hear that. I will use all the knowledge I have to help you."

"Thank you, Sarah. It feels nice to hear some hope from someone."

Sarah is sorry for Kendra. "I don't want to give you that much hope, but we will not give up until we can help you in every way."

"I like that. Besides, I never give up. Now I'm free from dad, and I live a new life. I always wanted to fly like I used to...." Kendra stops talking when she begins to recall the past, so she is more likely comforting herself as she continues muttering and holding to every possibility laid down in front of her. She was determined to leave her dad's protection so that she could continue to explore the world and search for the goodness in it.

"Great to hear! We need that high spirit from you!" Sarah praised her. Even though Kendra could not see it, Sarah still smiled at her. She reached for Kendra's hand and squeezed her fingers, conveying that she was a friend, willing to give her the strength she needed.

Kendra may be blind for many years; it only cultivates her sensitivity to her surroundings. The sympathy that Sarah conveyed to her reached her heart.

"Thank you, Sarah."

Meanwhile, the men gathered inside Allen's laboratory.

"Now, let's begin since everyone is here." Allen swept his gaze to the men he shared with the long table. "I want you to look at this."

Allen showed the men the black button with a golden owl carved on it before placing it on the table.

"Violet, please read the data."

The black button that is an inch in size expands before the USB port swallows it. After Violet read the files stored in the flash drive, several computer screens appeared in front of them.

"What are these!?" Clint Lawrence, a linguistic expert, sprang to his feet after seeing the ancient writings on the computer screens.

"I invited you here to help me determine these writings," Allen told Clint.

The guy had a massive smile as he started reading the files.

"They are writings from the secret civilization!"

"Can you tell us what it says?" Riku requested. He was curious about what the files said because all he understood were the symbols written inside a circle or something.

"These are information about rituals," Clint answered the question.

"What kind of rituals?" Randy chimed in. The files look very interesting. "I started thinking that I should create a software to translate these ancient writings."

"Well, I can help you with that." Clint glanced at Randy, then shifted his gaze to Allen. "Look at this…."

Clint pressed his fingers to the computer screen and threw it over to Allen across the table.

"What it says?" he asked.

"It was a ritual to acquire immortality!"
