The One Who Killed Her Parents

Howard didn't expect Hilary to come to the office late at night. The latter mentioned she would stay overnight at their cousin's penthouse, Veranice Davies Wilson, for a Runway project.

"Hey, come here…." He forced a gentle smile and extended his arm, gesturing to Hilary to walk toward him.

Hilary strolled with a worried face as she kept glancing at the mess on the floor.

"What's wrong?" she asked.

"Do not worry. I will call the cleaner later." Howard's voice was comforting, so Hilary forced a small smile. But the fear in her eyes didn't hide from him; thus, he continued to coax her. "It's just a minor problem I have regarding some contracts. Not a big deal at all."

'Not a big deal?' she thought. But a part of her believed it was something more.

"Brother…" Hilary couldn't help but suspect that Howard actually had a big problem. He would not lose his temper like this if the matter were just minor.
