Not now, Not ever

Axel narrated everything that happened to Marcel. The incident remained fresh in his memory and the pain and anger bubbled up afresh.

"He damaged the hotel suite and went after the king to kill him." Asher added the part he left out and Axel threw him an annoyed look.

"What?!" Marcel exclaimed, wide-eyed. His face twisted in disapproval and he pursed his lips. "You went after Gregory?" His voice came out hard.

"I was angry." Axel defended. He knew he shouldn't have even thought of that, but at that moment, he needed someone to pay for what happened to Alita.

"Your anger should not push you to ruin a carefully laid out plan, Axel." Marcel scolded.

"I know. That's why I won't return to the castle until it's time. I might just do something I'll regret." Axel muttered. He knew what he was capable of and if not for the fact that any wrong move could ruin all they have been preparing for, he would have put the king in his place long ago.
