It's been three hours since Alita left the dining room. After trying for the umpteenth time to activate her powers and it yielded nothing positive, she finally gave up.

She felt like she had lost a part of herself, a very important part at that. Despite the fact that she wasn't born with the ability and had only had it for three years, it had become a part of her – one that she didn't expect she would lose so soon. 

Mindlessly, she stood up from the bed and began to pace up and down the length of the room. Her life had taken a sudden turn in a different direction she never expected and she didn't know where this turn would lead her.

Suddenly feeling tired after pacing for some time, she went back to the bed and collapsed on it. It seemed her time of hiding was far from over. In fact, it has only been upgraded. Now she would be hiding from more than what she had been hiding from before. And to think that she now has to...
