Chapter 19 - Alchemist Union

Saachi had no idea that he would create one of the most influential group from a idle assurance inside alchemy trial room in a novice village. Is this what they say- serendipity? Or that phrase - When God gives, he breaks the roof by giving. Anyway, Saachi went on the way to turn rich by using his skills in alchemy room and his trusted bonus multiplier.

Day 2 in real life

Playing for nearly 22 hours at a stretch was pain.

The pods were still 1st generation. There were no nutrition fluids too. Body needed more than just sleep.

To acclamatise himself, Saachi spent sometime inside the pod but not playing. The monitors could be used as touchscreen TV or simple laptop. He should have used his regular computer but as the game progressed and it turned into a huge monolith, the time spent inside the game would be considered productive. He wanted to experience that before other thought of it. So he continued monitoring though his eyes felt like burning, ears were faintly ringing and body bloated and imbalanced.

There were many top people and may-be top people in the areas nearby. He had extended search to nearby villages too because all of them would end up in same town and the fight for guilds would begin in earnest there.

Town life was liberating and constricting too. But majority of normal players would spend maximum number of hours in various towns, even if they get affiliated with guilds. Towns would become base on which guilds would create cities.

He checked the forum for new updates. These patches would be for better experience of players, so not many felt bad about them. He checked the place where one could inform the game about any 'bug' they found.

Hmm.....Well, maybe they will find it from now on. All the buffs have been removed and penalties started. Players would feel the pain from now on.

Any updates on ranking lists? Well.... obviously not many players had turned to level 5, so still some time needed.

What is that list? Costliest accessories? Oh, these were dummy ones with no attributes. He still marked them, these people would be his customers later. Probability of these brats hogging a high position in guilds' was very high, their behaviour was screaming new generation rich brats, who wanted to compare size of their #***# and status by spending capacity.

Wait, wait....why was that name Mojo familiar? And this...this Emmy ...this one gave the feel of girl from long generation of big office holders, the one he had seen in college. Look at the accessories she had purchased, it was practically a copy of what she would wear to college. Wow...nice brain, Emmy. If you don't have creativity, just copy whatever worn in real life, it's foolproof method of looking cool.

Saachi's mind wandered. Would other kids in college also be playing the game? In last lifetime, his time was spent in library, obviously he would not have noticed if his classmates or hostel-mates had started playing and since when. He could not wait....he had so many ideas floating around about this game mad people.

He wanted to know something before diving in deeply though. He called Stan, the one who had used up his favour to help Liam. Stan ..... only good thing that could be said about him - he was fair to those he considered friends. Chances of him backstabbing was less.

The message he said was quickly replied. 'Yeah, it was so fantastic playing yesterday. Planning to spend a lot there.'

'Anyone else playing too? We can party together to grind for levels !!😉'

The result? A new place inside the college forum just for 'Escape'.

It should be said that this university kids knew how to play and how to work. They had taken so many first places in exams, yet so many had joined the game and played it on the day of launch. He filtered out those who were into different state or country. Out of those who remained, he again divided them as near neighbour and far ones.

Was he lucky or unlucky? Out of eight 'Minders', five would end up in same side. Minders was the nickname given by a stupid gamer to these great tacticians. Their mind games would boggle giants, let alone university teachers. If a game needed strategy or tactics, these eight people would become the pillar holding back the sky. So now he had walk on eggshells while dealing with them.

Ohhhh ...Garima had joined the game too. Then her whole family would have joined too. If he could somehow pull her in, his family would follow in as free labour. And this one... wasn't she always shy and hiding her face in the book? Now why did she go in the physical way? Whaaat? She wants hidden class of Valkyrie?

It was disheartening to realise that you did not have a understanding about your friends and classmates. Idiots wanted to be mages with extreme intelligence. Clumsy ones wanted to world famous thieves. Good behavioured weak turned into bandits and thin, weak people wanted to tank bosses.
