Chapter 38 - Green paradise grass

Quest items are never easy to acquire. Unless you have chosen F class quest. Oops, I forgot. The patch up work based on player suggestions is not done yet. There is currently no scoring in quests.

Anyways, Saachi got the quest basically because it was in different monster map and it was quite far away too. His starting point, end point and even any point in between were all in level 10 monster maps.

He quickly went into the village, threatened village chief and others, no, no, no, just explained gravity of the situation and took all sorts of potions that are never sold to level 5 player.

The agility potions, strength potions, poison and antidotes. Aha! Jackpot! Invisibility potion. All these and more are must while running away from high leve levelled monsters. He was already lucky enough to not encounter a horde of such monsters before finding the spirit seeker. He did not want to try his luck again so soon.

Green paradise grass is an exotic item. It means that the items are used in very few conditions and other raw materials needed in those instances were 10 times, 100 times more costly or dangerous than this one. It is like specific shaped screw , used in only select models. You can't hoard it like a precious item because it's just a screw used occasionally ( probably never). You don't want to discard it. because it is not easily available and who knows what happens in future.

(A/N : I actually understand this feeling.)

So, the level 10 monsters in the map were single horned bisons. And no, they looked nothing like normal bisons or buffaloes. As the game was progressing, the monsters were slowly changing from commonly seen or recognised monsters to other types.

These orange hided, single horned monsters were skilled in magic too. The horns were default and attached wands but the monsters were level 10 with 4 single target skills and 2 AoE attack skill(half physical and had soul way), all with high attack rate. These peace loving monsters were territorial though and did not like to mess their regions. So, single target attacks were stun, bind (magic attacks), stomp and sweep (physical attacks). AoE - mana drain (magic obviously) and tremors(physical attack). These monsters would be handled by 1 to 5 parties made of level 10 or higher players. So CD time was very less and any of the attacks could send low level player into revival point.

Saachi was more like a monkey as he traversed through border of the map. Thankfully this quest had area marked. X marks the spot with highest chance of getting green paradise grass.

Good news - one of the spots was near border. Bad news - a monster was already munching on snacks nearby.

He sighed. He still had to collect void seed which would be even more dangerous than this quest and time....it was not moving normally but running in high speed.

He held HP and MP potions nearby, ready to swallow at a moment's notice. Other potions, easily available. Forage skill level - fairly high but ...the time taken would be more.

Invisibility potion in, disappear and creep soundlessly to the spot, start digging.

He missed automatic options at these times. Previously, one had to hold the item, think about collecting it, be still till collecting done and voila, the item is in inventory. Now, he had to cut, pluck, pull all sorts of things. The grass was not easy to pull unless the root was weakened. (Agricultural environment at home place and work experience there was helping him tremendously.)

1 patch done. Rush towards border. Just in time, his invisibility potion period was over. The monster turned to look at puny animal that was climbing tree. Huh! Who cares? That puny thing did not come here. If it had.....

Saachi was pushing luck each time he gathered the grass. After few instances of near miss, he did get caught.

The only thing that saved his a** was that these bisons were too territorial and would not leave their pasture, I meant map, of course. All the agility potions and HP potions he had were empty.

Sigh!

Another detour into the village to replenish the stock. This time, few more ( actually a lot more) potions and consumables and no extra junk in inventory bags.

The spirit seeker was nearby because as soon as Saachi reached the map, he came to confiscate, um, um....collect quest item.

Thanks to bonus multiplier, Saachi had more than enough green paradise grass to complete this quest with 'excellent' qualification. This meant active participation of NPC while collecting void seed.
