Chapter 50 - Following advice

Saachi did not go into alchemy trial room. He decided to spend some extra time in his guest room, rearranging his items. He was thankful for the safe storage space because he had really accumulated lots of items, thanks to his bonus multiplier effect. Then he contacted his employees and gave them ingredients to make potions and as such.

The current contract was buying fixed amount of potions at standard rate. If raw materials were supplied, more potions had to be handed over to compensate for the items. This was standard contract of sort. The Alchemists or others did not earn more, but there was very less chance of earning less or having loss. Many preferred stable job over speculation or prospective earning.

Unless a starvation market started, Saachi would have no profit from this endeavour. But he did not care. He had lots of space to store these things and he was no longer making basic HP and MP potions. Thanks to recent quests gotten under favourable conditions, he already had more recipes and he was making those. These would make more money. The potions made by others, he would use himself, if still present , will think of selling later . Though there was still some time left, Saachi exited from game, set alarm and fell asleep in his bed.

Wake up, finish chores, go for walk. He was not healthy or buffed enough to start working out. A small walk netted him a part time job. Payment was poor but his employers were not rich enough to pay more. He was supposed to off load fruits and vegetables for an old couple to sell in their shop. Saachi knew the plight of people dependent on fresh produce, so he agreed to help. In return, he would get fresh veggies or fruits. After returning, it was repeat of the same from before.

The college was also rife with gossip about game.

This time, Saachi turned into model student, spending all his time related to studies only.

When he checked newsfeed after coming to his rented space, he found that majority of players liked the updates. The player number had surgery even more. More than 10 million people had joined after the update. This, in turn, had sparked recruitment drive, I mean, promotion of many guilds. The grey market sites had updated the price list too. It was estimated that about 1 billion credits had changed hands due to the game. Wow! A billion credits worth items had changed owners, in a single day. The number would only increase if the quality and quantity of drops increased.

Saachi set a timer again. Today he could play nearly 12 hours. He would play again 2 slots( as he was not using nutrient fluids etc, he always took breaks to answer nature's call and his stomach's growl) but sleep normally in between 2 slots. That meant, one of the slot would have less time, but his body really needed the rest.

There was no message from the trio, so he went to different map to finish of procurement type of quests.

The quest list had altered after the update. The repeat procurement quests showed that different portions. For example, procuring wild boar meat( the one Saachi wanted to do now). The chef wanted meat from level 6 wild husky boar. First time quest requested just 10 meat. The chef might follow up with repeat quest , this time the amount of meat required would be not 10 but 25. The quest now showed as

Quest - Wild Husky boar meat X10 - quest reward

X 35 - quest reward(X2). X135 - quest reward (X3) + bonus reward. X335 - quest rewards (X4) + bonus reward (X2)

It appeared 335 pieces of meat was the limit. Any more, he would not get any reward. This helped Saachi a great deal. No need to spend extra time if he can't get extra bonus. No need to run into village again and again to get the quest.

What he did not realise was, such changes appeared in select few players, who had satisfied pre-requisite conditions, one of which was completing 10 of such procurement quests multiple times. He happily massacred boars going deeper and deeper into monster maps and even killed few elites in between. Thanks to his high attributes and skill points, even his basic attacks had lethal punch and they could be spammed continuously.( As proficiency and skill level increased, the attack points increased, CD/ cool down decreased, MP needed decreased.) He would frequently do one wave rushes too to use his AoE skills. As soon as this quest limit reached, he killed the remaining ones, cleared off the field and rushed to another map to start hunting for monster drops and foraging. He changed his method of fighting too. His wand went to left hand and staff became main weapon. Monsters in this map had high physical defense and low magical defense. He would not need to use staff as blocker, so it went back to function as magical weapon.

After leaving message to the trio, he went back to village. On the way....he discovered dungeons. Bad news- few others had also discovered it. Could not be helped though. The dungeon was in level 4 monsters region. The groups could face monsters of higher level, thus there would be multiple teams in level 4 and level 5 areas.
