Ten minutes later, Rosalie came out of the bathroom, looking refreshed.
"Please wait for a moment, my lord." She spoke before Eric could say anything and rushed into her room. A short while later, she returned, dressed in a fresh set of clothes—a white, full-sleeved, robe-like shirt and an ankle-length black skirt—while carrying a small bag.
"I'm ready to leave whenever you want, my lord." She said, lightly and respectfully bowing her head toward him.
Eric looked her up and down, a peculiar glint flashing in his eyes. He then stood up and nodded, "Let's leave then."
Walking out of the house, Eric noticed a few of her neighbors standing in the street outside their houses, talking amongst themselves. When they noticed him, they flinched and quickly entered their houses, making him smile wryly.
'Do they think I'll do something to them?' He shook his head.
