First day of work!!

"First day of work!!!!"

If I could scream louder than a speaker. I would. But Jacob is just a bummer.

"Quit yelling." His hand covered my mouth, "And stop skipping!!" His other hand proceeded to hold me in place.

Bummer.

Glaring at him, "Stop complaining."

Guess where we are at? A parking lot!!!! Again!!! {I know you guessed it wrong}.

No, we are not about to visit Jotham again. This time, we are on set. An actual movie set!! Feel free to pinch me.

Dipping his head, he whispered into my ear, "People are staring Makena." Which was an exaggeration. Nobody who passed through the parking lot paid attention to my squeals and skipping.

They definitely didn't think Jacob was holding me hostage.

"Allow them to stare." I swatted my arm dismissively, "Since when do people not stare?"

They stare when I dance, they stare when I do not dance. It's like they are in a staring contest with me and I'm not aware of this said contest.

"Since I was born as a normal person." He wiggled his brows mockingly, causing me to halt in my tracks to shoot him a deadly glare.

There was that glare, "What are you implying?" I'll advise you to choose your next words carefully Jacob. It might end up becoming the end of you.

"Corianne is the best."

Without missing a beat, his lashes batted and lips puckered. At the moment, his level of cuteness was "a grown man in a tutu".

"Good for you." Nodding, I continued walking, satisfied with his response. Turns out today won't be the end of him after all.

"Are you talking about me?"

Corianne pops up in front of us, holding a lollipop almost the size of my head. I exaggerate of course. But it was a pretty good one.

I take a step back, startled by the shock. "Yes, we are", I recover immediately.

Scrutinizingly staring me down, "What did he say?"

"You're the best and he loves you very very very much "

Jacob's eyes widened into a skull-piercing gaze. Which I ignored to focus on the way Corianne's mouth was spread into a grin.

"Aww, babe." She throws her arms around his neck, planting multiple kisses on his face.

You can thank me later Jacob. I might have just saved his life.

"Yeah, I was just telling Makena how awesome you are. And how I wouldn't trade you for anything else in the world. You know, the usual stuff I discuss with Makena. " Once she was done gushing over him, he tried to brush it off with a coy smile. Sadly, he overdid it.

"That's a lie." Placing her hands on her hip, her narrowed gaze switched between the both of us, "You and Makena never discuss any normal thing."

"Jacob, you had your chance and you blew it." I stiffled my laughter, patting his shoulder with my right hand.

Swatting away my hand vehemently, "I know, there's no need to rub my failure in my face." He clicks his tongue, appearing to be upset with himself.

My half lie was good enough, but trying to overachieve was the death of him. Tsk Tsk, amateur.

"Anywhoo, I went inside!!!!!" If you could put actual stars in the eyes, Corianne just discovered how.

With the way it shone and popped up with excitement, the huge candy was soon forgotten. This is how the weird things usually become normal in my life. "Guess who I saw?", she continued with her peak of ecstatic.

I made a show of tapping my chin, "Taylor Swift?"

"Nooooooo." She elongated her sound of protest at my lack of creativity, "Jason Will!!! You didn't tell me he was in the cast too." The stars in her eyes were gone now that she was sneering at me.

Jason Will for Corianne is just like Jotham Wright is to me. He is a big-shot actor who is mid-average in my opinion. I'm not just getting the hype around him.

"I don't know who is part of the cast." Which is not a lie. That's the main reason for being here today. So that I'll get to officially meet everyone, and get the appropriate measurements. Meanwhile, Cory and Jacob are my muscles for the day. Both physical and emotional support.

Jacob on the other hand was sneering for a totally different reason, "Neither do I. If not, you wouldn't be here." He grunted and groaned in irritation.

"Jealous much?" His girlfriend found his reaction to being funny, wiggling her brows at his expense. Ummm...we don't need a fortune teller to tell us how jealous he was been. Especially with the scowl that had found its way to his face at the moment.

"Jacob has always been jealous of Jason. Simply because he is my all-time favorite actor. Forget about Jotham, Jason is a walking Greek god."

Even though it would annoy Corianne, I trailed off, shaking my head, "I beg to differ...." Just like I said, I'm not getting the hype.

"I have to agree with Makena on this one." Jacob's quick agreement earned an eye roll from me, as I nudged him in the side.

"Jotham has regular white hair and regular eyes. Meanwhile, Jason has this brown curls and blue eyes. It's like crossing cute with hot." The said stars had returned, as she punctuated the sentence with a chef's kiss, "Perfection."

"Meh." I stuck out my tongue at her ridiculously, "Jotham is still the love of my life."

"I still can't imagine how you went into his office twice without begging him to marry you." Jacob laughed to himself, with Corianne following in tow. Betrayer.

"Nah." I waved my hand dismissively in his face, "I don't have to sell myself cheaply. With time, Jotham would see who is meant for him." Which is me, the person who isn't to be mistaken for any other person.

Jacob arched his brows, "Or you'll make him see it?" Speaking with a tone that made my next words sound important.

So I said before thinking, "I can also do that." The aim is to achieve the goal, whether by nook or crook.

"I'll like to hear how you intend on doing that. For now, guess who is coming in our direction?"

"Who" "Huh?"

Cory and I said in unison, sharing the same puzzled expression.

"The guy who wants a new phone screen." Jacob made his mouth form the biggest smile known to any human. Definition of the word `mischief ʼ.

I didn't even need to follow his line of gaze before the words, "Uh-oh", popped right out of my mouth.
