The reason behind Isabel's fear of water stemmed from a childhood incident that deeply impacted her. When she was around 8 years old, Isabel had a terrifying experience where she accidentally fell into a deep pool. She was under the water for a few seconds before being rescued, but the incident left her traumatized.

The feeling of being submerged and unable to breathe overwhelmed her, and it left a lasting impression on her mind. Even though she was physically unharmed, the memory of that incident sparked a fear response every time she got near water, especially deep water.

The fear had taken hold of Isabel's subconscious, making it challenging for her to rationalize her emotions. It was as if her mind associated water with danger, triggering a fight-or-flight response whenever she was faced with the prospect of swimming or being in deep water.
