Chapter 2

"Let us go through what she currently has." says Athena as she goes through Lili's suitcase. The gang decided to head to Athena's house. "Ah...all the clothes are cut up."

Lili then sighs. "Asuka did that to get back at me." she replies. Kyo frowns at that. "Why?" he asked. "Thing is, Asuka and I were rivals at the King Of Iron Fist Tournament. I kept on challenging her to fights which she often refused."

"The thing sis yes I was bitter about losing to her but at the same time, I wanted to be her friend. I guess I went about it the wrong way hence why she punished me by kicking me out of her house despite paying off her family's debt. I guess when you are a sheltered rich kid with no sense of reality, you do all kinds of foolish things." she says.

"King of Iron Fist? Wait....do you mean Asuka Kazama?" Kyo asked. Lili nods. "Wow...so you are Lili de Rochefort?!" Lili smiles sheepishly, a far cry from her usual arrogant haughty persona. "Unfortunately I am her."

"I know Kazama as I have had some unpleasant encounters with her. Not a very nice girl." says Kensou.

Kyo scrutnized her closely. "I do not see any arrogance in you." he said. "Yet I act that way. I guess I did that to protect father's image. I don't know."

"No need to fret!! You can always start all over." says Athena. "We will get you clothes no worries."says Yuki. "Yeah. Cheer up. We've got you covered." says Kensou.

Lili is surprised. "Why are you being so nice to me? I do not deserve it." she says. "You are being too hard on yourself Lili. Everyone makes mistakes. No one is perfect. Do not let anyone put pressure on you. Live your life according to your own rules and not what some idiots dictate." says Kyo.

Lili smiles softly and nods. "Okay guys. If you say so."

"Ah...I have the perfect outfit for you to wear!!" Athena chirps and dashes off, dragging Lili along with her.

A couple minutes later, Lili comes back out wearing a cute pink floral dress and some white slippers. Her hair was packed up in a ponytail. "Kawaii." says Kensou. "Not bad." says Kyo, giving a thumbs up.

"See Lili? You look great." says Yuki. Lili blushes bright red. "Uhm...thanks." she replies shyly. "Let's go. Benimaru and the others are waiting for us." says Kyo. With that, the gang left the house and head out.

"Now where did they go?!" Benimaru grumbles. "Relax Beni. They will be here." says Goro. The blonde sighs as he sips some sake. The two were at the Kusanagi house waiting for Kyo to arrive.

"Sorry for keeping you waiting." says Kyo as the gang walks in. Benimaru spots Lili and immediately gets up from his seat. "Ah. Miss Rochefort. Been waiting all my life to meet you. Such a precious beauty!!" says Benimaru.

Lili raises an eyebrow at that. "You say that to every girl you meet right?" Kyo snickers at that comment. Benimaru is taken aback by this. "Oh come on Mademoiselle!! Is it wrong for a guy to express his feelings to a pretty rose such as you?"

Lili simply giggles. "Oh what a charmer." Kyo places a hand over Benimaru's shoulder and says in a low voice, "Dude she is not that into you." Benimaru growls. "What do you mean by that?! Oh is she taken?!" Kyo rolled his eyes. "Anyways, Lili is going to be staying here so best be on your best behaviour Beni."

"Got it!!" says Benimaru. Goro nods and smiles. "Nice to meet you Lili." She nods. "Nice to meet you too."

At that moment, Saisyu walks in. "Ah hah, was looking for yo-" He stops when he sees Lili. "Wait....is she not the girl that Asuka Kazama kicked out of her house yesterday?" Kyo stares at him. "How did you know?"

"The whole town has been talking about it. People even saw her on the streets." The gang stared at Lili who looks down at the ground. "I...I am leaving.." Just when she was about to turn on her heels, Shizuka Kusanagi, Kyo's mother grabs her hand. "Please stay. I will help cover your expenses."

Lili looks at the others who all give her encouraging smiles. Lili then nods. "Fine. I will stay." Shizuka smiles. "Let me show you to your room." With that, she leads Lili away and takes her into the house.

Lili was amazed by the vast size of the Kusanagi residence. It is way bigger than the Kazama house and despite the traditional Japanese feel to it, there was something modern and classic to the house.

"Here is your room." says Shizuka. Lili gasps at the massive room they were giving to her. "It is a little bare but we can add more to make it more homely for you Lili." Lili turns around and hugs Shizuka who was shocked by this. Still, she returns the girl's hug.

"Don't let anyone determine your worth. You are as worthy as any other person." says Shizuka. Lili smiles. "I will bear that in mind." With that, Shizuka leaves the girl who walks towards her bed and sits down on it. What did I do to deserve all this?

She was so lost in thought that she does not notice Kyo walk in. "Here. Some soda for you." he says, handing a bottle over to her. "Thanks." she says as she takes the bottle. He then sits down next to her.

"Say, where are the others?" she asked. "Athena has to head off to band practice for her concert."

"Wait...she's an idol?!" Kyo nods. "Yeah. Kensou is a bodyguard of sorts though Athena can handle herself just fine."

"What about Yuki?"

"Her mum asked her to come back home and sort stuff out." he says. Lili nods and takes a sip out of the soda. "My dad disowned me. I am sure he found out about the money I used to pay off the Kazamas' debt. That plus the fact that he keeps saying that he hates fighting and disagrees with me participating in tournaments."

"Maybe you should stop using the Rochefort name."

"That is what I have been thinking about." A light bulb goes off in her mind. "Instead of Rochefort, I shall now use my mother's surname De Winter. So now I am Lili De Winter."

"That sounds regal." Kyo jokes. "Well...I am called Hime-sama for a reason." says Lili. They both laughed. "Funny because you resemble Karin Kanzuki."

"I get that a lot." she says. "I have never met Kanzuki before and wish to meet her at some point. Have you met her before?" she asked. Kyo nods. "Loads of times. She is a sweet girl deep down."

"Your house is so huge and your mother is nice." she says. "Ah mum is awesome but she scolds me a lot since I tend to slack off in school." Lili giggles. "I often do that too but I try my best so that my old man does not lock me up at home or something."

Kyo stares at the girl. She seems so nice and not like the stereotypical ojou-sama at all. Or maybe she used to be like that but the Asuka thing changed her.

She yawns. "Aish....I am feeling sleepy again." she says. "Right. Will leave you to rest." With that, he gets up and leaves, allowing the girl to rest.
