THE GREAT ESCAPE

"GRANDPA!"

Hendrix smiled a little after seeing Runa run to him as soon as the child entered her mother's room. "Have you been well, Runa?"

Runa smiled and nodded, then she stood in front of him and bobbed a curtsy. "I've been well, Grandpa."

The child's curtsy was still a little clumsy, but she did well.

[It reminds me of the time Zoe began learning etiquette. Time flies so fast, indeed. Now, my daughter has a baby.]

Runa wasn't Zoe's daughter, but that didn't matter.

"Grandpa, have you been well?"

"Yes, I've been well. Thank you for asking," he said, then he pulled out three pieces of chocolate candies from his pocket. Ever since he found out that Runa had a sweet tooth, he would always put some candies and chocolates in his pockets. "And because Runa is a good girl who greets her elders politely, take these candies as a reward."
