I Love You, Don't Leave Me

A thud caught Eva's attention from cooking. Turning her head slightly she looked behind her.

"Lucas?"

Her chest felt frozen as she reacted to the horrifying scene in front of her.

The warm smile he showed to her as he lit the fire for her was gone now. Replaced by pale skin and blood dripping from his mouth.

Eva gulped back the first wave of fear. She wanted to pretend that this was not happening

His body was shaking as he tried to hold himself up with one arm. Lucas' brows were knitted in pain as he seemed to struggle to hold himself up.

A burning sensation soaked through the pants on her legs and the shirt sleeve on her right arm. She must have dropped the hot pot in her arms from the shock.

A few seconds felt like an eternity as her heart was aching in agony. She had forgotten.

Forgotten the feeling she felt when Lucas collapsed just yesterday. The overwhelming panic as she worried he might die right then and there.
