A Noble Daughter's Reprisal

They moved silently through the forest following behind Red as he showed them to the herb Lucas requested he find.

Lucas watched over Eva as she gathered herb after herb. Once their bag was full of blumroot they walked to the river that was somewhat far from their current camp.

"Since we are using the root for this medicine we need to wash off all the dirt first."

Lucas guided Eva in the proper way to wash this herb.

"We will grind up the roots when we get back to camp."

Lucas paused and held the side that had been injured in the fight with the ape beast. His hand was covered in blood.

Pulling his cloak over the wound he watched Eva tie up the bag of roots.

"I am gonna clean up a bit. Go get the tools ready and start on dinner."

Eva didn't think much of the change in plans and nodded her head. She picked up the bag of herbs and tossed it over her shoulder.
